Obama Is Crushing Romney In Karl Rove's New Electoral Map

Karl Rove Electoral Map: Obama Looking Pretty - Business Insider

There are two big differences here for Obama. They come in the swing states of Iowa and Colorado. Colorado is now a lean Obama state, whereas Iowa has moved into the definites. Meanwhile, Romney lost his stranglehold on Montana. So that makes it a complete wash as far as definite states go.

What looks even better for Obama? Arizona is now a toss-up state. This is notable because Democrats have been pushing the idea that they can win the state for the first time since 1996.

All told, with the leans, Obama gained a bit on Romney from the last map: He now leads 290 to 172, up six electoral votes from last time. There are 87 toss-ups, an increase from 82 last time.

Wow, an old fashioned clock-cleaning. Only Diebold can save the Republicans.

The only thing that doesn't look believable to me on that map is having South Carolina in a statistical dead heat.

Bush won, Gore lost, deal with it

Actually, Gore not only won the popular vote with over 100,000 more than Bush, but also actually had more ballots cast for him in Florida, as shown by the count done after the court case which allowed a recount just for the purpose of getting at the truth after Bush had been declared the winner and took office. The lesson learned is that no Democrat should ever concede an election as Gore did before every single vote has been counted and, if one does not like the outcome, in a properly supervised recount.

so what you are saying is that you, an obama worshipper, is smarter than I am?

Funny, it certainly does if you know what you are looking at... the attached is schedule 1.1 of the Budget. Note the 2008 deficit (before recession) was $.641T. The drop off in revenue caused by the recession was $.4T (from $2.5T in 2008 to $2.1T in 2009).... ok, so I have proved substantially all of my claim. Certainly its not a leap to think the core deficit (before recession and TARP and things) went from $.641T in 2008 to $.75T, as I claimed in 2009, but if you need, I can source that, even though its moot. I can also source the unemployment claim pick up from $50B in 2008 to $150B in 2009, if you need... but I have pretty much backed up my numbers. Care to back up your claim

BTW... I cited the last Clinton budget as having an under $50B deficit. It was $32B. So Bush went from $32B deficits to $1,250B deficits. Again, a legacy the Republicans can be proud of.

Remember, the president can't spend a dime without the consent of Congress. I can forgive Bush for having busted the budget, as that is mostly a responsibility of the legislative branch. The Executive branch, however, is the commander in chief of the armed forces. It was Bush who made the final decision to get us involved an a decade long war that was supposed to have been over in a few weeks.
