Rubio does not want VP

I think where he needs help with is women. A conservative woman like sarah palin would be a good choice.

Or maybe a big mouth who drops F bombs on national tv. That would be good too.

bachman, angle, and o' donell are also good choices.

As well as Pelosi, Maxine Waters (you know, the one who said there was nothing wrong with the Rodney King riots), and Debbie Wasserman Schultz for Obama.

No romney needs conservative women not liberals. Obama already chose his running mate.

LOL. Nice attempt at playing dumb. Or were you serious..........

Im serious. I think bachmman, palin, and o donnell are good choices for him.

It should be someone currently in office or someone who recently was forced out due to term limits. That eliminates Palin and O'Donnell.

Since Romney is from a northern state, the VP candidate will likely be from a southern state. That eliminates Bachmann.

In my opinion the candidate should either be a woman or someone who has the backing of Evangelicals. That's why I think Gov. Brewer of Arizona and Gov. McDonnell of Virginia are the best choices.

Gov mcdonell will lose romney the women vote because of his ultrasound bill and brewer would lose hispanics because of her controversial immigration law. I think palin is the best choice. No baggage. Fully vetted.

No baggage other than the Couric interview, the trooper gate scandal, and quitting halfway through her term as governor.

It absolutely will not be Palin.

I do think all of the prospective VP candidates have some baggage, but not nearly as much as Palin.

I think thats all gone now and people will forgive and forget. If palin was qualified to be vp in 08, she is even more qualified now.

I'll make a deal with you....You get Obama to dump Biden and make Pelosi his VP candidate in this year's election...then I'll write Romney and tell him to pick Palin.

This is silly. Im just giving my opinion on who romney should pick. Nothing more.

McDonnell = Less women votes

Brewer = Less Hispanic votes

Two key areas just to pick up a little more evangelical votes? Evangelical voters will vote Republican anyway.

To the person that said Palin...that is a poison

Yeah, good luck getting the women's vote with McDonnell on the ticket..... Brewer, OTH, is an interesting choice. She won't help you with the hispanic vote, but then again the Regressives have pretty much walked away from the hispanic vote. Going from 15% hispanic support to 10% won't matter much.

Wow, not a lot of good choices for VP (nor for Prez). The Republican bench is pretty thin.

Mitt's best choice would be to to Ann Romney on the ticket.

Hispanics and pro-choice women are going to vote Democrat anyway. They've already made up their minds.

Evangelicals are not happy that Romney is going to be the GOP presidential nominee. Romney's VP pick must be very attractive to Evangelical voters.

I think the tradition of a relative unknown will be honored. Someone not well known, a blank slate without all the baggage of a national persona.

Problem is just what can the VP bring to Willard's table? If the average American see Willard as a pliable moderate then appealing to the moderates isn't the VP's duty. He/she can be used to fire up the base, which will need firing. So can the Republicans both fire up the base and appeal to moderates? only if they can beat the economy stupid drum and make it believeable. Social issues fade when paycheck issues take over.

I see it very much in the GOP's interest to keep the economy in turmoil and select a VP with a 'new' economic plan to 'save' us.

Beats me who that is though...

And now even the press is writing stories on the "unknowns" who could be picked for the VP slot. One example of that is Nikki Haley. In my opinion she won't be picked because she's in her first term and because I don't think she will excite the Evangelicals.

Plus she is a bad governor and has reelection problems of her own to worry about.

No, what's silly is the way you have acted on this website. That's why no one takes you seriously. No one can't distinguish between you acting like you always do or suggesting poor candidates for a VP. Either way, your posts make no sense.

Romney needs someone with strength and dependability as his VP. He is viewed as a flip-flopper (rightfully so) so he needs someone who leaves no doubt as to where he/she stands. I don't think he needs a young, hip VP (Rubio) or a woman. The only woman I can think of that would be smart is Condoleeza Rice. She has said no, so that's out. Sad thing is, I can't think of one. Personally, I think Ron Paul would be a very interesting pick for him. However, I don't think Paul would accept. I think he'll pick Chris Christie. He's well known, has a rep for strength, is a big mouth like Biden, and would be viewed as the "tough guy" like Biden. Plus, why not go all out with the moderate platform!

He needs someone that could cancel out his liberalism. I dont know if christie can do that. I know one person that can and that is Governor Sarah Palin. There is no doubt that she can energize the base. She also has experience as a VP candidate so she knows all the dos and donts. As long as she stays away from couric she will be fine.

So Sarah Palin is the only conservative that he can choose for the VP slot???

In my opinion he needs to pick someone from the southern half of the nation. That would eliminate Christie from contention.

Romney's biggest challenge, IMO, is to choose someone who won't overshadow him and make him look even more robotic and unlikeable than he already does. That would rule out Christie and probably Rubio as well.

Yep. I think palin is the best logical choice for him.
