"We've always encouraged young people: Take a shot, go for it, take a risk, get the education, borrow money if you have to from your parents, start a business," Romney said.
He is so out of touch that it is not funny.. He actually said...
Hey mr silver spoon.... most parents cant afford to loan money to their kids!
Yeah, Ann Romney did an interview with the Boston Globe way back when she described how she and Mitt were your typical poor college students. They had no jobs and were living in a cheap basement apartment. She said the only way they got by was selling stocks Mitt's father had given him.
If you can put yourself through college without working and can dip into stocks to support yourself, then stop pretending you are some sort of "I pulled myself up by my bootstraps" kind of guy.

You're a commie. Please stfu and go back to Russia.
No seriously, I'm not kidding:
I'm already married so you can stop hitting on me.
I'm not a commie, though I don't consider it an insult. And Russia is a bit too cold for my tastes. But thanks for the link. Reading it was almost as boring as watching the video in the OP.
How is that out of touch? It's a common occurrence. The whole "silver spoon" shtick is getting rather stale. He is so out of touch that it is not funny.. He actually said...

You think government is supposed to be exciting?
This is a pretty humorous statement considering the current GSA scandals. You think government is supposed to be exciting?
Last I checked, they're civil servants, not party animals. Government is supposed to be a burden, not a pleasure cruise.
Contra Costa Times editorial: Outrageous GSA waste must stop immediately - ContraCostaTimes.com
"...GSA employees mock American taxpayers' willingness to lavishly fund their agency without question, allowing those employees to live the high life.
It is little wonder GSA employees would feel that way, since the dalliance in Sin City cost taxpayers more than $820,000 and included such things as a $95-a-plate dinners, $7,000 worth of sushi and $3,200 to hire a mind reader."

It doesn't help that Americans have been taught to finance pretty much everything. Not common enough since college debt is now larger than credit card debt in the US.

Phrases like "no clue" get thrown around a bit too much, to the point they they can lose their meaning, but sometimes they are still applicable. For example, it is becoming increasingly clear that, the more they speak, the more obvious it is that Mitt and Anne Romney have no clue what it is like to be an average citizen.
I don't think this is the most important criteria for a potential President, but these two take it to the extreme.
Shows how romney no matter how he tries...he cant show empathy to lesser fortunate people than he...he just doesnt know
If his parents were wealthy, then everybody's parents are wealthy. He's just an average guy, right? But Romney wants you to borrow from mummy and daddy.. they must be loaded right?
The way you phrase that one could read it that you are neither average nor a "winner". :lol:I don't want average people being the president of the united states. I have spent most of my life making sure I wasn't average. Most winners are that way too
