You'll notice that these people trying to compare what Romney did to what Obama did conveniently leave out that Obama was a child at the time.

Glenn Beck is a ****ing moron.

I would be more concerned with Obama (like bush) feeding our kids dog food. :prof

Too be honest I dont care what people do with their dogs, I just wish people would care as much about their fellow man as they do about animals.

The Glenn Beck website made a big deal over it, so you knew Josie would be right here trying to prove something that isn't there.

I really did try dog meat one time. My stepbrother brought some back from Korea. It wasn't bad. Does that make me ineligible to be president now, or can't I be president because I'm as crazy as Glenn Beck? LOL.

You are a musician. You aren't allowed to have political opinions.

You think Obama ate dog meat because he was starving to death?

I think Obama ate dog meat because he was a little kid and his mother put it on a plate in front of him and told him to eat. I think Romney put his dog on top of his car because he's dumb.

So torturing animals really is a matter of some indifference to you. People can burn them alive, tear them limb from limb, bury them alive - you just don't care. Good to know.

usdaselect does; btw who the hell is he, a sock?

The thread compared the 2; thers no comparison. One was done when Obama was 10; another was done by an adult. Doesn't matter in the election. The person who started the thread cares; i just commented.

I find it amusing that many of the people who are so horrified by dog meat have no problem with justifying and funding the slaughter of cows, pigs, and chickens on a daily basis. Is there any rational distinction here, other than you think dogs are cuter and cuddlier than pigs?

I'm not upset over Obama eating dog. But I will say that dogs have other uses for man besides nutrition.

My thought: I think this is evidence that Obama wasn't born and raised in a society that ate dogmeat routinely.

In fact: this whole entire issue raised points more towards us as a society rather than Obama or Romney as individual. People consider some animals to be more 'special' than others - and being 'special' these animals receive better treatment and are categorized as companion with rights and a sense of self rather than foodsource or inconsequential otherwise.

lol oh wiggen....

Okay, which one do you care about?

Romney putting his dog in a carrier on top of his vehicle several times to go on vacation.

Obama admittedly eating dog meat.

To be honest, neither.

Though, I've heard daschund goes well with rosemary.

No, I didn't say that. One eats to live and survive. There is no good reason to strap a cage to the top of your car and put an animal in it. Justas there is no good reason to put a dog in the back of your pickup truck and drive.

Not enough room in the car? Dog tears up car seats? Dog has a problem crapping in the car? No, nothing literally forces you to, but there are reasons, and I truly doubt the experience is harmful to the dog nor was it a vicious act.

Do people see the location of the dog-crate on top of the car to be different than a dog in a crate in the back of a pickup truck?

Around here people crate their dogs all the time in the back of pickups and on bumper-racks . . . we transport all sorts of animals in open-air containers on the highway.

Why does location matter so much?

LOL - A clip for everything: D'ya like Dags?

I've always thought the way people treat their pets is an important indication of character. Wasn't Romney's dog supposed to have run off in Canada, when he finally was let out of the carrier? Poor thing.

Yes, unfortunately, eating dogs is done in part of the world. I had a Pacific Islander friend who told me a story about being upset, when his uncle cooked a dog he'd made a pet out of, as a child.
