BTW - your comparison if false. Some urban Obama supporters may have believed he would strengthen welfare and food stamp programs... That's hardly the same as birtherism.

Gee, I thought the main point behind the OP is the general stupidity the media capitalizes on during the election cycle. Are we supposed to take stupid people seriously? Would that not also make us stupid? I think it says a lot when somebody tries to force feed a non-issue down the throats of people who recognize it for what it is. Why should the OP be taken seriously when the issue isn't serious?

There's your response: this is a stupid issue exacerbated by a money-hungry media. It's nothing more than that. Trying to make it more than that is either disingenuous or dumb.

I'm not seeking to prove him wrong - he's right. Romney is surrounded by many very wealthy people. I'm merely pointing out to him that his guy is also surrounded by equally wealthy people and is also the "1%".

I wasn't aware of an attempt on his part to connect the right with the 1% - we all know they're on both sides. . . doesn't change the issues.
 
Oh sure, when you are part of the 99% it makes you much wiser and completely fair about the issues. The 1% just need to sit the election out and shut the hell up. They didn't work for anything they got, never struggled in their lives, lack the gene of understanding for anyone less fortunate than themselves.

And for the record, neither do the "birthers." They think he is ineligable to be president because they think he was not born in this country, but that doesn't mean they think he is an illegal alien. Those are two far different things.
