What you call "throwing people under the bus", others call "being objective", blindly supporting someone just because of partisan or personal ties is just dumb and sometimes quite destructive, as with Bush with Brown and Rumsfeld. Bush and America would have been better off if Rumsfeld had been "asked to resign" a lot sooner.
 
NP, I don't like Obama. He is the first president that I can honestly say that I highly dislike as a matter of fact. Yet even I am thinking that you're stretching here.

well my friend I have been voting in presidential elections since 1960 and I can honestly say this one is the most crucial of my lifetime.........we must not relect Hussein Obama..........You have seen the damage he has done in just 3 years.....6 Trillion in debt by himself........H ewill destroy this country as we know it...........Please think of that when you vote........

I hate no one................I just want this bumbling idiot who has never had a job in his whole life except community advisor put of office............I am a Roman Cathol;ic and I don't hate anyone, in fact I use to say a prayer at mass for him when he first first elected hoping some of the things that he said he would accomplish would happen...........His biggest lie is he said if he did not cut the deficit in half he would not run for reelectin..............He increased it 6 trillion...........Why do you accept his lies???????????

The tactics of Obama are brilliant on this.

One of his surrogates opens her mouth and actually tells the truth about the oppositions wife, gets chastised by all sides including Obama, but the damage is done to the Romney campaign.

First off, he cant target Michelle nor can his surrogates without a huge backlash. I mean what exactly should he attack her on.. her big ass? She is a working mom, and a very successful one at that.

Secondly and more importantly, he cant use his wife as much as he wanted to, too get the women vote. Like it or not she is a trophy wife, who had nannies to take care of the children and is totally out of touch with average America, and that is exactly what Rosen pointed out.. or wanted to point out...Now Romneys wife might work wonders among her peers.. the uber rich 1% with similar trohpy wives who dedicate themselves to so called charities while banging the tennis coach, but to the average American struggling to put food on the table.. yea right.

So now you have an out of touch candidate with an out of touch wife and out of touch spoilt children (his children are really hurting him as well). Unless Romney really gets his act together and gets this "out of touch spoilt rich man" image off him, then this contest will be over before it even starts.

Lincoln was pretty hated in half the country. Of course I'm pretty sure you weren't alive in the 1860s.

Now if half the country secedes because Obama gets re-elected, and Obama ends up getting killed, well....then he might compare.

He said what he's ALWAYS said - the one thing Obama, I think, feels very strongly about:

Candidate's *families* are off limits and simply being a woman saying something about another woman doesn't get you off the hook.

Now - he didn't actually say *anything* about the true heft behind Rosen's suggestions: that rich people can't identify with everyone else.
