In what some might consider an act of GOP political suicide, Newt Gingrich slammed Fox News earlier this week, saying that the cable news channel has favored Mitt Romney throughout the 2012 Republican raceand that CNN has been the more "fair-and-balanced" network this cycle."I think Fox has been for Romney all the way through," Gingrich said during a meeting with tea party leaders in Delaware on Wednesday, according RealClearPolitics.com, which said it was granted access to the private event. "In our experience, Callista and I both believe CNN is less biased than Fox this year. We are more likely to get neutral coverage out of CNN than we are of Fox, and we're more likely to get distortion out of Fox. That's just a fact."
The former House Speaker blasted the Roger Ailes-led network, blaming Rupert Murdoch, chairman and CEO of Fox News-owner News Corp., for the bias.
"I assume it's because Murdoch at some point said, 'I want Romney,' and so 'fair and balanced' became 'Romney,'" Gingrich said. "And there's no question that Fox had a lot to do with stopping my campaign because such a high percentage of our base watches Fox."

More diarrhea of the mouth from Mr. Gingrich. No wonder he's losing.

LOL - it's true!! Holy ****: imagine: we could have a truthful president who says what he thinks and doesn't ply to BS media partisan hackery.

They say a broken clock is right twice a day. Gingirch only sees biasness when it's not to his benefits, if Fox were supporting him, Fox wouldn't be "bias". Gingrich isn't "truthful", he's an opportunistic cry baby, and he's at the forefront when it comes to peddling "BS media partisan hackery".

Gingrich is a poor loser.........

Gingrich is not saying anything that Santorum didn't say weeks ago.

There was already another thread about this but I will say once again, "You want some french cries to go with that waaahmburger and a nice cold Whineken to wash it down?

Newt is pathetic, but of course in this case he is right on the money.

Actually, of the three major corporate infotainment channels CNN is the most factual and fair. Newt is correct on this one.

I would really appreciate a channel that simply reported without fanfare ... direct factual news of the daily work of our public servant each day. Simple legislation and rulings and how they each voted reported by unassuming people.

Included should be a report of the POTUS and his cabinet and their work ... respecting the privacy of course of any work that could affect national security.

I would also like reports of each public servant and any moneyed interests who are allowed to influence the legislation.

Newt is actually right on a lot of things.

He was right when he called Ryan's plan Right Wing Social Engineering (ignore the fact that all budgets are SOME form of social engineering).
He was right when he argued that government can create opportunities
He was right when he argued for massive infusion of spending on R&D.

The problems with Newt aren't his actual belief. It's his personality.

Fox is nothing more then a mouthpiece for the GOP these days. Fox is consistently rated as the least factual of the media outlets with its viewers the least informed. Granted, CNN is pretty bad too, but CNN doesn't pretend it's independent of the Democrats.

I think Newt's real problem, in addition to his personality, is that he comes up with a new idea every 30 seconds, and his commitment to any given idea has about the same shelf life.

Yeah, Newt, Fox News just loves them some Mitt Romney........lol

Whatever.

Newt has shown during this campaign that underneath that brilliant mind and oratorical mastery lies a thin-skinned wannabe of a man.
