If this is true, then Romney has a sweep coming Tuesday, and there is a lot of Romney-friendly territory yet to cover.

I do NOT believe that this will be a brokered convention. Stick a fork in Santorum. He is done. The only thing that remains to be seen is whether he will continue to fight, and keep lowering the electability of Romney, or just suck it up, be a good sport, and give Romney the snowball's chance in hell he needs to defeat Obama.

Anyone who already thinks Santorum is toast on a stick, please raise your hand. :2wave:

Intrade has Santorum doing best in Penn. coming up, but still only 35 % chance of winning the state. Romney will win Texas, NY and Cali, with huge delegate counts in all those states. Santorum's only chance is Gingrich dropping out, and Gingrich has had at least one meeting recently with Romney...wonder what they could have been about.

This was effectively over before the first person went to an Iowa caucus.

Using a stick seems like a terrible way to eat toast.

i think i need a few more!!!!!

i couldnt even find polls showing the candidates odds in texas ,only thing i found was intrade which was a bunch of bull,im basing rommney losing texas off the fact texas is the heart of the evangelical movement and the conservative stonghold,

Santorum saying " bull s..." ended it for him. That is not a very evangelical way to say things. He lost his halo.

Hypothetically...if Newt and Paul had backed out sooner, do you think Santorum's chances would have increased significantly enough to pose a real threat? Then, do you think both Newt and Paul stayed in as long as they have because of this assumption? Just speculating, of course.

Texas has two very large moderate/left leaning pockets that can sway enough of the vote away from Santorum to give Romney the win. Additionally, our primary isn't until the middle/end of May, and if the writing on the wall is clear, you can bet that Texas voters will probably follow the path of inevitability.

Me personally? I'm voting for Ron Paul. Romney may be the inevitable nominee, but just ONCE I'd like to vote in line with who I feel best represents the interests of the people of this country instead of who I think will screw it up least.

No. That's Oklahoma. Texas isn't nearly as far imbedded in religion-led legal doctrine as Oklahoma.

Yes to the first, who knows for sure to the second.
