Did Santorum drop the N bomb on Obama?

Did Rick Santorum catch himself dropping the N word on Obama?

Please explain. Just want to make sure I am grasping your point before I debate it.

how would these words be found to those of someone who did not (wrongly) believe blacks receive most of the welfare budget:
“want to make black people’s lives better by giving them other people’s money.”

I get the notion that more white people collect money from welfare programs. However, that is when you group in social security. If you remove SS, the numbers are a lot closer than they should be. I think the point Santorum is trying to make, albeit very poorly, is that a bigger percentage of blacks are living off the the gov'ts dime than the percentage of whites. I'm speaking in terms of within their own race group. I found this article that starts off with some good numbers and facts. Its very old so bare with me. Later it delves into "racism is the problem" yada yada yada but the beginning is decent. Here's a quote:
Among the poorest of the poor--single mothers, living below the poverty line with minor children to support 39.7 percent of Aid to Families with Dependent Children (AFDC) clients are Black single mothers and 38.1 percent are White women with children. Food stamp recipients are 37.2 percent Black and 46.2 percent White. Medicaid benefits are paid to 27.5 percent Black recipients compared to 48.5 percent White clients.
Who gets welfare? Despite prevailing stereotype, whites, not blacks, collect greatest share of public aid dollars | Ebony | Find Articles
The point is later argued in the article that yes, blacks only make up 12% of the population but make up this big of a chunk of public funds, but that's due to racism. Whatever. I don't believe that. I think a large portion, not all of it, but a large portion of the problem with all races of welfare recipients is that they either A) Succumb to the circumstances they were born into or B) Feel like just getting by is good enough. Like I said, that's not all of them. I'm sure there are some legit cases of need involved in the welfare system. I don't want kids starving. I don't want anyone starving. What I do want are stricter guidelines and checks to make sure people are at least trying to make it on their own. I don't think its wrong to want people to pull their own weight. I also don't think its wrong to help people in need. But we have to do it smarter. We have to do it in a manner that provides a way out for people, especially kids, that are trapped in a cycle. Santorum and Gingrich do a horrible job of promoting this. Why? They target a race. Target the whole friggin system. That's the problem in this country, everyone wants to target groups when the only group that should matter is your country of citizenship. The USA.

I don't like Santorum but if he almost used the n word after government, can someone explain to me what a "goverment nigger" is and how often the derogatory term is used?

Funny - Republicans, excuse me, "Independents" like yourself who constantly go off about black people being on the government tit now don't have a use for "government nigger". I guess you guys only creative with subliminal jabs.

Subconsciously, Santorum was sending a subliminal message to the "racists," whose votes he needs.

It would be fun to believe, but the speech was clearly rehearsed and I think he tripped over his wording.

Besides, it's completely moot. You'd have to have lived in a cave even if he did say "government nigger" and be surprised to learn what kind of person he is.
