Santorum: " Obama re-election better than Romney win"

LOL, he claims Romney is the flip-flopper however:

Santorum told supporters in San Antonio. "If you're going to be a little different, we might as well stay with what we have instead of taking a risk with what may be the Etch A Sketch candidate of the future."

And then later in the article it says:

The Santorum camp later clarified the candidate's remark, saying he didn't mean to insinuate that voters would be better off re-electing Obama than choosing Romney.

Talk about back-peddling.

I don't know about being better off, with Obama than Romney, but I don't see us being better off with Romney either. I just see it as two sides of the same coin and it isn't worth having.

Some people are just sore losers. He's already made this claim before... It's desperation on the way down. With as immature as many of his social views are, why would anyone expect more from him. Best to ignore Rick Sanitorium for now...

How many people are discussing Santorum's VP choices right now? Only Newt Gingrich, hoping it's him.

Wow. That's just low.

... Romney is your guy so you might as well deal with it. "....if you can't be with the one you love, then love the Mitt your with...."

Pity, the best thing for all of us would be a Santorum nomination so we can play this Conservative electability myth out as we did in '64. Romney wins the nomination and loses the election people on the right will convince the right they didn't go right enough and the next guy will make Santorum look like a liberal.

There is a huge difference between flip-flopping on policy and simply misspeaking. The latter is easy to do in the moment, particularly when emotions are stressed; the former exposes a lack of core values.

He didn't misspeak. He said it, and only after there was reaction did he change it.

I agree with this. I think he meant every word he said.

I also think he meant what he said.

There are conservative voters who agree with Santorum's statement.
