This is a poll from FOX News, and it spells doom this year for the Republican Party.

Obama 69.6
Romney 14.2

Whether or not you like George Bush, you have to hand this to him. He heavily courted the Latino vote, and they were largely responsible for his victories in both 2000 and 2004. What have the Republicans done with this legacy, which would have kept them in office for I believe at least a generation? They squandered it. Frankly, most Latinos now see Republicans as bigots. What are Democrats doing? They are telling Latinos whatever they want to hear, and even though they are lying, they are peeling off those Latino votes in record numbers. The Bush legacy with Latinos now belongs to Obama.

So how do Republicans repair the damage? Quit acting so insane would be a good start.

Obama has essentially done nothing to court the hispanic vote. In fact he's done the opposite -- ramping up deportations and border security while doing nothing to promote immigration reform. Fortunately for him the Republicans have bailed him out by offending hispanics at just about every conceivable opportunity.

Offending hispanics means cracking down on illegals and saying people should get off their butts and stop sucking on the public teat?

or are "hispanics" offended because their dem masters tell them they ought to be?

It means being generally offensive (see above), opposing the DREAM Act, making insulting comments about Puerto Rico's bilingual culture, insulting the first SC justice of hispanic heritage, suggesting that all hispanics are welfare recipients (see above), etc. Pretty much exactly what you embody. Good luck with that in future elections.

Hey, as long as the Republicans have got the Angry old white Guy vote and the vote of rich people, who else do they need?

I don't know - I think it's a terrific strategy for the Republicans. I mean look how well it's worked with black voters.

I don't insult people based on their heritage. I ridicule those who engage in pathologies that result in them costing the rest of us money. Such pathologies are not limited to one race, ethnic group or greed. That so many hispanics apparently believe that criticizing certain pathologies is criticizing them is a credit to the propaganda of the dems who are well known liars. Its no different than the pimps in the DNC who claim that "tough on crime" talk is "anti black".

But one possible scenario is that if the dems become the champions of every group that is anti white, then perhaps more and more whites will abandon the dem party

Yep, I think patronizing them is probably a great strategy for you guys. You just need to explain, very carefully, that they're too dumb to realize how the Democrats are taking advantage of them.

No worries, though -- you guys have the white separatist/supremacist vote pretty much locked up.

Another reason Republicans are losing Hispanic voters: Because as you so artfully demonstrated, many Republicans perceive Hispanics (and pretty much every other non-white group in America) as "anti-white," and base their rhetoric and policies accordingly. It must suck to live your life as though you are constantly threatened and under siege from the colored man.

Classy.

My large Hispanic family are democrats (by name, not hardcore into politics) but would vote for gop Paul. I had no influence in it except for showing them the debates. Main reason: his foreign policy and he was real.

Another George Bush on the brain thread. I mean, this should be getting old even for you; the guy that invented Bush on the Brain around here. You'll probably blame your own death on Bush.

the 2020 law which demands that a voter must speak perfect midwestern English will go a long way to solving this Republican problem. ;)

What: do all Latinos vote together in pacts or something?

A single Latino can't vote however they want?

I think pasting them all over as being a group with tethered support to gain in one single quantity is a grotesque abuse of the freedoms that we claim to uphold.

In fact - I'm sick of it all around: other women do not speak for me - other native americans do not represent my son - other whites do not represent me . .. and so on. I'm tired of these 'group tactics' - it's absurd.

Hispanic voters may be conservative in some areas, but in general, they support the Dem position of bigger government and bigger handouts.

The Republicans would like the Hispanic block, but if you get it at the price of giving amnesty to criminals to buy their vote, then you are no better than the Democrats.

You are missing the point! It is the Latino voters who are NOT being informed. Because of our media. Still too early to see who gets it though. For all we know, Obama might be impeached!

Well, froth party with Al Franken so AE doesn't mess things up.

Hold on there now... you're not going to get away with that one

Race really isn't an issue for Republicans, but it is for the Democratic base.

I seriously doubt the GOP ever had the Latino vote to start with.

Republicans lost the latino vote? Did they ever have it? I know GW sucked a lot of chorizo but I didn't realize latinos supported the GOP for the most part. But, then again, I don't hear many latinos singing the praise of many black folks either.

I see I need to go back to class and get me some schoolin'..

Sorry Goshin. I didn't read your post until I had already posted mine.

Great minds think alike. ;)

I can't understand what this post is attempting to convey. I do know it appears to be some form of hate speech, however.

Y que coincidencia! Yo mismo soy de familia hispana!
Oye.. te reporté.

Thanks for the post.
Lo he constatado lo que sospechaba.
Esto explica mucho sobre su postura sobre muchos temas.

IMO, you play the hate/race card way to much in some of your replies.
It is plain to see the GOP never had your vote (assuming your old enough and legal to vote).
