Okay let consider the options here.

1) Romney Beats Obama - You completed your short term goal of getting Obama out of the office. Now you replace him with a guy you don't even like but your hate for Obama is so strong that you will sacrifice republican values to get him out of office. However, this will eliminate your chances of getting the conservative president you want like Bush, Daniels, or Christie in the office for eight years.

2) Obama is re-elected - This is probably making you throw up right now thinking about it. You will have to tolerate him for another 4 years.

Bottom line, regardless of your choice, your party is still screwed for at least 4 years.

Thanks for your stereotypes. Now go back to your hole.

Are you implying that the alternatives you present are conservatives?

And why do you gloat?

Both sides of the aisle are screwing the American people. Take off your partisan glasses and look around.

Dude - open your eyes: our country is ****ed either way.

It would take more than some political podium thumping to fix our problems.

Well, Republican doesnt equal conservative, but the country is better off with Romney than Obama. Beyond that, there no way to predict the succes of the GOP.

Im not gloating. It is just ironic that with all the tea party ***ching about healthcare, the extreme right wing movement in 2008, you guys front runner is the most like Obama.

By the way, that's good that you are preaching to me about my partisan glasses. But in return I would challenge you to give that same speech to your fellow conservatives on this board. Everything that Obama does is evil in you guys eyes. It's ridiculous.

In what way ???? We don't even know what Romney stands for. You are just saying that because he has a R in front of his name.

a brokered GOP convention will salve your wounds

I agree with you. The only way this country moves forward is through bipartisanism. But that is not going to happen isn't it?

This is how disfunctional the GOP is these days. In 2000, they rejected John McCain in favor of George Bush. Bush turned out to be one of the worst presidents in history. How does the GOP respond after screwing the nation with Bush? By nominating the putz they rejected 8 years earlier in favor of one of the worst presidents we've had.

America didn't fall for it.

Fast foward 4 years and who does the GOP look like they're putting up against Obama? The guy they rejected 4 years ago in favor of McCain, the guy they rejected earlier in favor of Bush!

I hope for their sake, they at least nominate Santorum. He'll still lose to Obama but at least the GOP will regain some credibility for nominating someone who a) is inline with their values; and b) isn't someone they've already rejected in favor of a bigger loser.

The answer to our country's problems isn't going to be found in the Presidency or Congress - heavens - it seems like everything they do just makes **** worse.

I'd like someone who won't make things worse - at least - someone who can leave **** alone. It's broken enough.

He's too busy striving for a ultra liberal America where the Constitution is burned at the inauguration. Why, because the ideals of the last 250 years were promoted by rich, white slaveowners. Why do you think Obama said that rugged individualism didn't work?

Exactly... That was my point. All these battle cries about true conservatism and they are going to put up a candidate that is the least conservative in their party. So in the end, true conservatism was nothing but a bunch of noise just to rally against Obama and take the white house back. Even if it means placing a RINO in the oval office. And all I hear is "He is better than Obama".

What stereotypes would that be? I just gave two options here. Prove to me that I am wrong?

Everything you've attributed in your two opinions is your stereotypical view of a "Conservative", as per your thread title.

I can prove you wrong as I don't have a short term goal of getting Obama out of the office and I don't want Bush, Daniels, or Christie in office for 8 years.

Geez, that was easy.

Bottom line, regardless of your choice, your party is still screwed for at least 4 years.

Your logic is flawed. And greatly so. Republican voters are selecting Mitt Romney over the other candidates. Therefore, they are selecting who is representing them. Considering they have more extreme conservative presidential candidates kind of tells us that they want Mitt Romney.
Bottom line, regardless of your choice, your party is still screwed for at least 4 years

Your party is also screwed for the next 4 years regardless of who gets elected. Just like they have both been screwed for the last 4 years.

What better evidence is there that America rejects Conservatism at a national level?

Dude why did you bring race into this? See this is evidence that liberals are not the only one that plays the race card. For your information, I do not value all liberal agendas. I wish both sides would stop ***ching back and forth and get something done. But as long as each side have sheeple believing everything they hear, then we are going no where.

If America rejected conservatism we wouldnt have so many of them in offices around the country. Sounds to me like they are rejecting both parties but are stuck picking one or the other. Until you have a political party that is actually viewed favorably by the public as a whole, your comment doesnt really hold much weight.

Watch the GOP nominate Sarah Palin if they end up with a brokered convention.

wishful thinking. i truly hope i am the wrong one
caribou barbie is toast; recent hbo flick did her in
were it not for his surname, jeb bush would be a shoo-in
chris christie is waiting in the wings hoping to be called

nikki hailey is the new palin (and MUCH smarter); would not surprise me if they selected her as a game changer
but rubio will attract a hispanic vote that now stands at only 14% ... but will that hispanic vote he attracts be other than cubanos. the answer to that question may decide whether he joins the ticket or not

to the OP: the reality is a reich winger cannot be elected because the independents in the middle decide the elections

That explains why you made a thread to basically taunt conservatives. Yea, that seems legit.

Well that is your opinion but not your parties. To prove my point, why are they still begging for those 3 to get in the race?
