Illinois: 69 Delegates, Primary

Probably Romney.

I voted in the democratic primary. Couldn't vote for any of the GOP candidates.

I just got back not too long ago from a town hall meeting for Newt Gingrich at my former high school. Although I have no plans of voting for him, I must admit that he is an impressive speaker at events such as this. In a way I am disappointed that his personality is so toxic.

As for the race itself, Mitt Romney will most likely win the state. He should do really well in northern Illinois while Santorum and Gingrich will split votes in the southern part of the state.

As it stands right now, Santorum and Romney are in a statistical tie in polling, with Santorum winning the southern part of the state and Romney the northern part. Reports have Romney stepping up his efforts in Illinois quite a bit, really wanting to win the state. What he needs is more enthusiasm amongst his supporters, which is what killed him down south in the last 2 contests.

Make or break for Santorum.....if he doesn't do well here. Then all he has left is a brokered convention. Romney should do well up North. Plus Mark Kirk already Endorsed Romney. Which will help to sway some other Repubs.

The vote is today. Romney has a big lead in the polls and probably will win easily, stretching his delegate lead.

Romney should win easily. If Santorum should somehow pull this off Romney would be in serious trouble.

My opinion is the same as Congressman Rep.Tim Johnson of Illinois except I won't be backing the gop nominee (writing-in).

best line @ 3:21

Romney won 47 to 35, gaining at least 38 delegates.

I'm glad to see Romney won. I think he has the best chance at beating Obama.

Rick's going to make a comeback to keep this thing going. Santorum will easily win Louisiana. Willard Romney is not who the GOP base wants and Santorum is going to push this all the way to the convention.

best line @ 3:21

though i care not for mr. farm subsidy tim johnson, as he's been there the entire time as illinois went deeper and deeper in debt, he at least has this one thing right.

Rove has spoken out on ending the Primary. The Neo's are going with Romney. Santorum will have the Same problem with Wisconsin. plus he is not on the Ballot for Washington. DC. Whence the money goes......Boom Boom Out Go The Lights.

Santorum's play wa to live on the prayer that Florida and Arizona would split their delgates at a brokered convention. Jeb Bush came out and endorsed Romney. Pretty much putting an end to anything and everything that Santorum is talking about with Florida. Plus now with Santorum coming out and stating Obama would be better than A Romney Presidency. He just shot himself in the foot. Already his camp is attempting to do damage control. Which again was after Rove and Jeb Bush spoke out.
