Romney: I'd Be Like Reagan on Iran

I can't wait until Republicans stop pretending that Reagan was something that he wasn't. That's all I feel about anything that involves a Republican using Reagan as his ideal.

It's funny how the right is always claiming Obama is the left's messiah, yet the conservatives are the ones always invoking Reagan's name like he's god damn Jesus.

If many of them went back and looked, they'd be horrified at the things he did. Reagan was a moderate, he knew how to work with the other side -- not just Democrats, but Gorbachev. He was a good President, all things considered. He was not an ideologue.

Based upon what he said he would do, it sounds like he would be just like Obama on Iran ... except that on an unrelated note he would greatly expand defense spending. I suppose that makes him neither a very good chicken hawk nor deficit hawk.

quite true reagan was a good president especially looking at what else weve had lately, but he definately was no true conservative.he was a democrat turned republican but never fully was either left or right.

if obama had the bipartisanship reagan did there wouldnt have been a stalemate in congress.i dont see how romney can be like reagan anyways unless he wants to send troops over there with little planning,or activate some old battleships to show the iranians how powerfull we were 50 years ago.
