25 Photos Of Mitt Romney Looking Perfectly Normal

enhanced-buzz-7372-1329810976-14.jpg

I'm not a Romney fan by any means but I thought this was a great little gem of journalism with few words needed. Sometimes in elections we forget that the candidates, regardless of their ideas are people too. They have families, they hang out with them and they probably look like **** in the morning too. I think the majority of these pics are family pics. I also thought showed a Mitt Romney that isn't tailored to please anybody. They say a lot more about him than any campaign slogan possibly could.

He is kinda looks awkward when he laughs. /random

I'm not a fan of his policies but he does seem like an extremely good person. From his cheesy jokes to his uncomfortablness getting combative.

Looks like he has a wonderful family.

One, it seems that Mitt is now dying his eyebrows. (!) And two ... I could never vote for a man who has a rearview mirror in his boat. :)

I can't help but see him a living example of Clark Griswold.

They were pretty good picture, but Romney has some bipolar hair.

I've read from more than a few articles written by those who know him best that Romney is a jovial guy, and that his stiffness in public life is surprising. The authors all attribute this to the fact that Romney genuinely dislikes campaigning and would be better at governing as president than he is at running for president.

No way to know for sure, of course.

Getting stiff like he does might just be his way of dealing with standing in front of crowds and dealing with the spotlight perhaps.

So he can pose for family photos. Do you know how many ****ed up people can do that? My family looked normal but behind closed doors my parents acted like crazy people.

Instead of comparing normal Romney with crazy fundamentalist Romney, it would be better to acknowledge that these are all just social veneers and we can never really get to know such a high profile public figure through the media.

Family photos are just as image based as anything else.

Personally I don't not really care how a politician looks, I care more about their political ideas.

Even when he's not in business mode, he still wears the trappings of wealth. Those photos included a Hawaiian vacation, piloting a boat, seaside resorts, a cruise in a classic car... Everything in these photos gives the image of a very very rich man. Romney does not look normal, because he isn't normal. He has more wealth than whole counties and wields power on a scale that most of us can barely imagine.

However we DO know that in all those shots, just out of sight, there be magic underwear.

He may be the wealthiest candidate this decade but Ross Perot was much richer. John Kerry was not much poorer than Romney is now.

I think money also does not matter that much when it comes to how good someone is as a candidate.

And let's be honest, nobody who is poor will ever become president. We may not like it but that is how the political system in the US works. It is very expensive to want to become a presidential candidate in the US.

The richest might have been J.F.K. and I doubt people would say he did not look like a normal person, or at least that is what I hope that people will say.

Again, I think what a persons political goals and ambitions are is way more important that how rich he is, what color he is and how he looks.

I think he is just not capable of understanding middle class woes and extremely poor people because it's just over his head. How can he run a country when he has never been hungry, never lost a job and had to live on the streets, had to choose between paying rent or getting food or buying meds?
He has no reality check where people that do not have the same lifestyle he has and are struggling. So how can he connect with the whole USA to run it for everyone when he's only experienced a small part of it?

And you dislike him for that?

So, by your estimation, a person has to poor, missed a meal, and have been fired or laid off from a job to be POTUS?

When you can fake normality, the world's your lobster!

Take it you don't pull a lot of wakeboarders/kneeboarders/skiiers

That's true -- good point. But he still dyes his eyebrows. ;)
