Poll: Rick Santorum opens 10-point lead

This is actually good news if you're rooting for Obama to be reelected.

Doubt it lasts though.

The more this man yaps his trap the more the alternative definition of his last name seems to fit.

I would not be too terrified if I were an Obama supporter. Santorum has a much lower chance of winning in the general election than Romney. Social conservatives may love him, but the independents do not. However, Santorum should be credited for giving a clearer vision of his platform and being more personable than Romney, who is the stereotypical empty suit politician. It also helps that Santorum does not have Romneycare on his back. If Romney wins the nomination, I might hold my nose and vote for him in the general, provided he trots out a more concrete platform and shows that he will not be four more years of the status-quo. I'm not holding my breath for that, though. If Santorum wins the nomination, I will almost certainly vote third-party.

Did you hear him talking about the Netherlands and how they just willy nilly euthanize people? It'd be funny if he wasn't so close to the presidency.

He's about as close to being president as Sarah "Lady Blah Blah" Palin

He cra cra.

The article references an interview, barely played up by the American press, in which Santorum claims that euthanasia makes up "10 percent of all deaths" in the Netherlands," and that many of those people were essentially murdered by the state.

"Half of those people are euthanized involuntarily, because they are old or sick," Santorum told social conservative leader James Dobson earlier this month in an American Heartland Forum.

I'm about as afraid of Santorum as I was of Bob Dole. Please GOP nominate this wacko. Make our job that much easier....we'll laughing all the way to the bank.

sounds like the same thing you said about RR in 1980.:lamo

Actually no....but thanks for playing. Ronald Reagan would be considered a "leftist" to the Santorum crowd.

Yeah, strong defense, small Gov, lower taxes, anti abortion anti gay marriage, pro death penalty, real left wing positions..........Your killing me DD, leave while your only losing by a little bit........:lamo

Don't know if you were around in 80 but you lefties were laughing your ass off over the old brokedown 2nd rate actor and we know what happened don't we.

So you're saying that because Ronald Reagan exceeded expectations in 1980, that Santorum will too? That's a hell of a reach brother.

Without engaging in logical fallacies and invoking Reagan, can you explain why liberals should be afraid of Santorum?

I hate to sound redundant but Santorum isn't RR. And I wasn't alive in 1980.

I guess the point I am trying to make which you don't seem to get is RR wasn't highly thought of by the left in 1980 that is why they were so happy when RR got the nomination.

And I guess the point I am trying to make which you don't seem to get is that that was then, this is now. Saying that Santorum will win because Reagan won is idiotic.
