Rick Santorum fundraising soared after wins

GO RICK GO!

I'm excited about this political season. Entertainment value is high.

Pretty much every one thought it would happen. It's how it always works.

I have been voting and following presidential elections since 1960 and have never seen this happen.

Not in the beginning they didn/t Santorum was not expected last through the first couple of primaries.

If you've never seen a candidate's fundraising pick up after several big victories, you just haven't been paying attention.

Correct, Santorum was not expected to last, but the reason the early primaries are so important is that winning or doing well spurs fundraising.

The point is my left wing friend is all your left wing Pundits had Santorum home babysitting the kids out of the race 2 months ago. well they were wrong wern't they and he just might ride this tide to the WH..Stay tuned......

he is going to need all that money and then some to win the commercials war against Romney. Romney can have his superpac buddies cough up a few million more in a heartbeat if that is going to win the nomination. Obama meanwhile is sitting pretty, he can keep filling his war chest for when the real battle begins.

That is certainly true. All of the pundits -- left, right, and center -- wrote Santorum off. I'm pulling for him to win with all my heart. :)

That's what they said about Cain. And Perry. And Bachmann. And Gringrich.

Everyone but Huntsman and Johnson had their time in the spotlight. If Romney does not win Michigan, the GOP will find a way to tear down Santorum. Santorum will lose the Indepedents in droves that virtually the entire vote of those under 30. Even the GOP elite are estimating a 35 state loss in the General.

Isn't Santorum sorta following Clinton in some ways? The difference I see though is that the GOP establishment is still a rock behind Romney while in 92 the dems didn't have a strong establishment backed candidate. Super Tuesday is When Clinton really pulled out ahead and more or less locked it up. I still expect Romney to come out ahead on ST. I do think though that Santorum has had to push the GOP est farther right than they wanted to go. If it wasn't for Santorum, I don't think Romney would have declared himself to be severely conservative. God that still irks me the way he said that. Severe to me is better described as bad weather or a freakin toothache.

It's nothing more than a fad. Think of Santorum as a Sarah Palin. Mostly uncultured, big warhawk, highly praised by the masses. However, once he makes a few rounds in the media and people get to hear him speak on his own:

Rooting for a 35 state loss are we?

Shhhh. Don't wake the voters. Let's put this Theological claptrap to rest for GOOD. Maybe they will all go back to watching Pro-Wrestling and we can finally put the 19th Century to rest too.

In case you did not know Republicans always win more states in the Presidential elections but democrats usually win the big ones like NY, California, and Illinois with more elctoral votes........The couple times it was different was Reagan in 84 and Nixon in 72 where they killed you lefties and won almost every state including Cal and NY, something the dms have never done.
