Ron Paul in respect to founding fathers

...is not an outline for a "truly free society", it's a list of grievances against the British Crown in the 17th century. I think I'll go with the alt-right theory that Libertarianism is a cover for caucasian-identity politics, subconsciously or consciously it doesn't matter.

From what I've seen its mostly subconscious.

Verbiage outlining that the only legitimate use of government is to secure freedom is an obvious outline of a truly free society. this will be my last post to you because to be perfectly frank, you act like a child on these forums.

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. — That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, — That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government

I thought we were isolationists. Now we're just like neocons? Jesus man, if you're going to use pathetic straw-men or troll, you might as well be consistent. You know, if you spend as much time researching as you do insulting people you might have a halfway-decent argument.

I'm not an anarcho-capitalist, and I'm not willing to start wars on a dime. Obviously we need a national defense, and we cannot ignore that realism is sometimes a necessary component of foreign policy. However, the vast majority of states have begun to enter into international trade. I'm not willing to support a coup every time a president proposes land reform. If another country does not want to trade with us, it's their loss as far as I'm concerned.

Being true to the synthesis of "founding fathers" mixed ideas of what country should be in the form of constitution has little to do with individuals behind per se.

Their 'ideas' were not all that mixed to begin with; they all agreed that restricting the powers of the peasantry was a given.

Good principles are good principles no matter who wrote them if they allow one to get out of this kind of miserable state.

There millions of pages of 'high mined principles' churned out relentlessly for centuries, especially after the invention of the printing press. The reality is they are completely ignored by anyone who gets in power, so they are utterly irrelevant. Many of the so-called 'Founding Fathers' are prime examples of hypocritical sophistry.

And its even quite funny how 1:1 the protection against european "players" back the time map to current bankers and fed. if you study history you see it repeat. How is this different? I say not at all. Different faces, background is the same. Feel free to live in denial my friend, objectivity on this kind of matters is really a devil? Aight?

Can you repeat this in regular English? It reads like some sort of fever swamp dialectic that only makes 'sense' to those living in the swamps.

I saw tape today of Dr. Paul answering the question, "Do you see yourself in the Oval Office?".

His answer. Not really.

Ron Paul: “Not really."

Ron Paul went on to say that he’s not blind to the odds, but they are “not as slim as they were 25 years ago.”

So what?

Its the birth announcement of the USA. The day after it was used for that purpose it ceased to have any actual governmental relevance and certainly vanished as such after the adoption of the Constitution.

It is my understanding that most of our military spending actually goes towards research, paying personnel and construction projects. Not necessarily buying M1 Abrams.

You would be right. most of the military's budget its spent on personnel up keep and failed weapons projects. USA military is still living of the 1980 could war build up

If we were to cut military spending down to 50% of what it is now, it'd still be as large as China and Europe COMBINED. And Paul doesn't intend on cutting anywhere near that much.

Dishonest, ignorant, or crazy. I'm not sure which it is.

And we're spending the least percentage of the budget on defense than at any time since WWII.

Truly amazing... if the american people "buy" this... I have lost all of my hope for the US for being any form of example for the world. What happened in Russia was sad... Whats happening in US is plain ridiculous and shame for humanity! :shock:
