Rick Santorum lying his way up

Not could have been wrong on the statistics...he is wrong on the statistics. I've been trying to upload (well rather link) three seperate scientific publications (two from 2009, one from 2010)...but it seems they have to be approved by the mods first.
You should google the name of the Dutch researcher of the publication 1Perry is referring to...

harsh words, more like let them die when help might have saved them...
BUT, I like that the scrutiny is on his actions, and those of Newt and Rick....hopefully those who seek such high office will in the future have less baggage of this sort...

Opinions polls show that a massive amount of dutch people favor the existence of euthanasia. There was also an opinion poll in which elderly people said they were afraid that they might be euthanized without their permission. This poll however is from 1993.

It also is a lie that euthanasia is legal, it is still illegal but doctors can be free from prosecution if they follow a long list of checks and balances. There has to be a long and prolongued wish of the patient to die, this has to be documented and independently verified. A patient also has to be suffering pain that is too much to bare and there is no chance of improvement. Then this diagnosis and wish to die has to be verified by another doctor before euthanasia is even in the picture.

In this country we only euthanzie animals to put them out of their misery and to spare them unnecessary pain and suffering. If you are a human being, you get no such consideration.

Santorum has made a "cottage industry" of making some outrageous statement, that the conservative faithful "eat up," only to return a few days later to deliver a half hearted denial.

These "mistakes" are all part of a pattern - Santorum wants to get the "political mileage" among conservatives that each of these statements brings, but he doesn't want to accept the political "fallout" from the average voter and the media.

He's playing us for "fools," Santorum means every last word and his supporters know it!

if the person wants there is some relief in palliative sedation but in my personal opinion I would much rather have euthanasia if I am in that kind of a terrible situation but to each there own I would say. Euthanasia has been proven not to be mandatory or a financial choice (because we have comprehensive healthcare that would pay for prolonged hospital/nursing home). Euthanasia is a personal choice and I for one I am glad we in the Netherlands have that freedom.

I think that even if Newt had the combined fortunes of Romney/Gates/Trump all rolled into one big bankaccount, he still would not be able to become presidents. Some candidates have a few skeletons in their closet and some issues that limit his electoral opportunities, Newt has whole graveyards in his closet and he has a host of issues (blunders, flip flops, ethical and personal) that make the man almost unelectable, at least in my honest opinion.

might happen, but I think it is much more likely that some people come here because they were smeared by some politicians ugly lies.

My coming here is a combination, great interest in the political process of the US and in the process, speak up against he smears of a politician towards my people.

And one more thing, who was the one who smeared? Who was the one who lied? It was not the person who started this thread, it was Santorum with his remarks that was the "smearing" one.
 
Santorum got a little ego boost and it has gone to his head....he forgets that ubercons are a minority segment of voters and have never elected anybody by themselves, same with far lefties,
Common problem about the far left and right, they do NOT define their party....

And apparently he forgot (or didn't know) that the Pope believes in Global Warming and thinks that the FAMILY of men (U.N.) should ban together to protect the earth.


So the pope is also a believer in Obama's false theology.


Santorum is going to fall harder and faster than any politician in history.

Thanks, that's what I was going to say as well. This thread was, indeed, my first post but it wasn't the only reason for me to be here. If you would look at my other posts, they have nothing to do with Santorum. I simply read this news and thought I should announce it on a big US politics forum.
