africanamericansforobama.org website

I dont see the site as racist, I see it as unnecessary. Like Obamaa democrat isnt going to get 95% of the black vote anyway. It is about as useful and relevant as a Mormons for Romney web site.

I made a correction to what you wrote to make it more accurate.

Not sure why this is breaking news. The website is not registered or run by Obama. So why are you acting as though Obama is responsible for this site?

Because...

Normally these sort of groups come with the "You expect I vote this way, but I am going against that archetype!" mentality. "Democrats for Reagan" "Log Cabin Republicans" and so forth.

Other than that, I don't really think it's all that interesting.

Well, there's this right on the Obama-Biden campaign website . . .

African Americans for Obama — Barack Obama

Everyone who said they'd have a problem with it if it were Obama himself, what say ye?

(Note: "Est. 2007")

Somebody said that?

At least one did, and a lot of others went to pains to say it had nothing to do with Obama himself.

So, here's one that does. Now what?

Women for so and so... blacks for so and so... Latino's for Romney. Every election is the same with whatever group. Don't know why it's so important to carp about it now. Every single election before a black president had "blacks for so and so..." It's big news now it seems... hrrmmmm.

 I'm not the one who thought it was important that the site had nothing to do with Obama. Obviously it matters to a number of people.

This is an actual Obama-Biden Campaign page, not an independent group or a Facebook group. So, as I said . . . now what?

While Obama is a part of it, we have to remember that the conversation came up frequently enough before hand..mostly in the form of "why don't we see more (minority) conservatives/Republicans?"

It annoys me how people are choosing to segregate themselves by race now. Can't we all just be "PEOPLE [for whoever]?" Who cares how much pigment is in your skin?

This has hardly been a new development in any sense of American political history. The pigment of skin had come to mean much more than just pigment of skin, as most people can acknowledge. Cultural identity also sprung, both from what those who aren't included in the group, and from those who were in the group.

It is illogical to believe that ethnicity simply goes as far as skin color, and to label anything that considers cultural identity, statistics, etc. as 'racist'.

So it seems the verdict with some on the right is -- the First Amendment doesn't apply to Obama voters...

Not that I'm surprised.

I think I'll start a group called "Atheists for Santorum." I'm not an atheist and I'm not for Santorum, but it would be fun to **** with everyone.

Eh, that's too different from this group. You should start one that says "Conservative Catholics for Stantorum"

Isnt the website the OP cited an obsolete Candidate Obama website? Seems to me it spent more time trashing the Clintons than anything else.

So it seems the verdict with some on the right is -- the First Amendment doesn't apply to Obama voters...

Why, because they expressed a negative opinion of someone's opinion?

That's pretty much what you did yourself in this post. Is it fair to say that you don't think the First Amendment applies to "some on the right"?

No? Well, then, do you see the folly of your post?

I never thought I would see the day when a president of the Unted States would slice race in to pieces in the year 2012. Look at this website and you decide. Is this within the constitution to petition one race and one race only for votes? Why not all races or other singular races? What is his message in this? Is this pernissable only because blacks are a minority or is this racism?

www.africanamericansforobama.org

This seems to me to be a website created by African Americans for the purposes of voicing their support for Obama, rather than Obama petitioning for the votes of African-Americans

I think I will start a website for white people......Can you imagine how the liberal media would handle that? HYPOCRITES!!!!!!!

Free Republic is already around so need to start one.:2razz: There are plenty of Neo Nazi crap all white websites too. :(

Well, isn't that Oblabla uttering the name of the website on this clip? Or that Newt? I mght be confused. Is there a site homosexuals for Obama, Asians for Obama, Hispanics for obama? If so, why is he not mentioning all the other "sectors" in America to vote for him? How many blacks are voting against his stupid ass to start with? He should follow up with a piece urging kids to eat ice cream and candy.
