I am right now listening to His speech...it is mind blowing. Five minutes in and he has promised to do things more likely than the Freakin' Moonbase. I cannot believe these people will listen to this and not see it as a list of broken promises in four years.

He is absolutely gone....unless I am wrong about logic in the Conservative movement

So like good ole' Newty, reaching for the stars while his ass is still in the mud.

yeah, he seems determined to reinforce his own negative stereotype.

Romney at CPAC: "I am severely conservative". Do you think he will convince any one who doesn't think he is conservative, and who running for president describes themselves as "severely" anything?

Yeah...that was good too, who needs sitcoms.

CPAC is always hilarious. Don't want them gays there, but white supremacists are A OK.

Santorum is malignantly conservative.

if he get's the nod, i wonder what kind of backlash the spittering, jibbering, explosions on the part of the left will have on the general populace.

If he's nominated what you'll mostly hear from the left is guffaws and belly laughs. :)

I find it amazing Santorum's abortion stance is getting this much examination when Obama's partial birth abortion stance got almost none.

Wonder why that is?

that will be a fun statement to run away from in the general.

and the inevitability of that not happening in a General campaign is why I wonder if Obama would really seek to make it that huge of an issue.

I would imagine it has something to do with the difference between working within current law, and defining it...and expecting to go against current law based on religious dogma (But hey, I could be wrong).

While I agree Obama was somewhat wishy-washy in this regard, he was not the President and thus not in a position to champion a move that might limit freedoms. With Santorum there is a very good possibility we will end up with a major fight to overturn what has come to be seen as a law that instills rights, rather than limits them.

Another Freudian slip by Mitt "the flop" Romney. Severly, which is sorta a negative connotation. Extremely would have been a better word. The guy just oozes blue. I think at this point, as far as the GOP goes, I am rooting for anyone to win the nom just because. I still may not vote for them in the general, but Romney is just such a rino. All anyone has to do if asked what rino is or who is one just needs to put up Romney's pic.

Gingrich has become a caricature. The guy's friggin done. His temper tantrums are becoming folly. Every time you turn around its "Gingrich blasts X" or "Gingrich attacks X". Its getting old. The bad part is, the media (Fox included liberals) is framing him as this angry guy and he just falls right into the cookie cutter image everytime. Like with this debate coming up. Santorum is smart to pull out because he has the momentum. He has a lot to lose if he screws up a debate. Romney knows he's hit or miss in a debate so he pulled out too. Paul's just there lol. So, Gingrich is left holding the bag and he's mad because he has punted this campaign in the stands so many times and this debate was his last chance. Without debates, Gingrich would have been gone a month ago.

Thats very philosophical. Partial birth abortion is when labor is induced then while the child is in the birth canal a surgical instrument is inserted into its skull and killing it. If you cant be against that... Yet that is Obama's stated position when a state senator in Illinois. He has not backed away from it one iota. The media also has not pressed him on the issue, one iota.

Like I said I dont have strong feelings on abortion but that, more than any other procedure feels wrong and murderous. Obama supported that position. Its time he were called on it. I know the media wont do it so if Santorum is pressed I would suppose he will but Im unsure.

The good thing about Obama is that whoever runs against him doesn't have to worry about anything prior to Obama being elected to POTUS being brought up. Obama has more skeletons in the closet than all 4 of the GOP candidates combined and he would be smart to leave it to the 4 years he's been POTUS. All of those skeletons were not brought out nearly as much as they should have been in his first campaign.

Skeletons?

The guy has been under a spotlight for the better part of five years.
