Gallup state numbers predict huge Obama loss in November

So you made a random comment that has nothing whatsoever to do with the thread why?

Hardly a random comment. It shows that the OP idea that the map is some how a sign of the future is idiotic.

I don't think the swing voters are as opposed to Romney (probably) as you seem to assume. He is vilified for being rich by the left which doesn't carry much impact on independent thinkers. Being rich and financially successful is even seen as a plus by the less dogmatic.

It is too predictable and ultimately meaningless to categorize all candidates of a party as inept. I have never seen a party race where this hasn't come up repeatedly. Having said that, with the dems it's usually true.

Again....go look at the realclearpolitics polls.

When up against a specific Rep., Obama wins. The margin of victory is slimmer against Romney but it's still there.

Take into consideration that the Dems and Obama have not even started to truly campaign and you might find your projected landslide defeat for Obama is just wishful thinking.

Obama has not started spending his war-chest yet. Meanwhile the Reps are beating each other to a pulp.

Obama is clearly the projected "winner" at this point in the race.

And that dogma only includes the wealthy and succesful when it comes from the right. They have no problems when it comes from Corzine, Kerry, Soros....

A pathetic record is exactly why a presidency steeped in mediocrity is toast. Dems had to pour millions into a special election in a decidedly blue congressional district in Oregon to avoid another embarrassment like the Sen. Kennedy and Rep. Weiner seats - Massachusetts, NYC ffs! The writing's on the wall. Obama has to hope for a combination of nothing short of a miracle economic turnaround and great weather in early November.

The writings far from on the wall. Not only is the GOP the most unpopular it has ever been and the Tea Party is even more unpopular. No amount of propaganda from the GOP can change these facts. The very fact that polls show Romney not even beating Obama at this early point in time shows that the GOP is in serious trouble. After all according to the GOP and the pro-right American media, the US economy is catastrophic and it is all Obama's fault.. well the electorate dont seem to agree.

Fact is that many Tea Party members are most likely on their way out. The GOP stands too possibly loosing power in the House since generic polls have shown so, something unthinkable a year ago. If the writing on the wall was even remotely true, then they would be gaining and winning everywhere... they are not.

No instead they are fighting against recall elections, and trying to fix the elections elsewhere with their usual gerrymandering attempts.

Now the only thing that the GOP has going for it, is the 9 months to the eleciton.. maybe people will forget that it was Bush and the GOP who got the economy into the mess it is in, and maybe people will forget that Romney is a multi millionaire who pays low taxes and thinks 367k is not that much of an income and uses more on renovating his supposed home in California than 99% of Americans can earn in 5 life times, all in the while being official registered somewhere else and voting somewhere else... hellllllo election fraud anyone?

Sorry the GOP is out of touch and in the pocket of big business who have ruined America the last 30 years by exporting jobs overseas and Romney has been a key player in that game.

The congressional approval rating is currently at 15% while they have an average 90+% incumbency rate. Its easy to dislike someone in office, but its very hard to vote them out.

Look, Democrats lost a senate seat in Massachuesetts and a house seat in New York City is a pretty clear rejection of the party. Remember, we're not talking about swing areas here, rather dyed-in-the-wool democratic strongholds. Why the hell do you think Obama started this populist class war? It's called desperation folks.

Actually, Mass had to do more with a really ****ty campaign by the Democrat and her insulting the Red Sox pitching.

Libbos in denial.

If this same poll said that Obama had a good chance of winning, it would be gold. :rofl

Hope you won't miss that $1000 when OBama wins the re-election lol.

This map is a total crock of caca del toro. Let's look at a real poll, not something put together by a political hack who just makes up crap, in the form of fake maps, as he goes along. This one was released yesterday. Here, Obama comfortably wins Ohio, no matter who the Republicans run against him. Is it because Obama is the greatest thing since sliced bread? Of course not. It's due to the Republicans going negative on each other to the extent that it is driving Independent voters away from the GOP.

I won't, even if he wins. A thousand bucks is pocket change, because I've stopped participating in the recession. I'm going to make money, no matter what Obama does to try and stop me.

And it would be pasted all over MSNBC and CNN.

By the way, did anyone tell either network about the Fast and Furious investigation? They seemed to have missed it until today, when it finally appeared on cnn.com, buried down the list of stories.

Out of curiousity, what has Obama done to stop you from making money so far?

Ever hear of the offshore drilling ban? Have you seen fuel prices since he took office? Those two factors added up to less money in my pocket.

Yeah, CNN's site only has about 300 links to Fast & Furious stories -- when are they going to get with the program?

I heard about a temporary --long since expired --moratorium on some drilling due to the BP disaster. You think we should have ignored it?

And AFAIK, Obama doesn't control world oil prices. Except to the extent that an improving economy means more demand and thus higher oil prices.

How many permits have been issued, since the drilling ban?

We talked to Fadel Gheit, a former Mobil Oil executive who is now a senior energy analyst at Oppenheimer & Co. Asked about the impact of the deepwater moratorium, Gheit said the moratorium had a “negative impact on production, but not as much as the politicians would like us to believe.” The impact of the moratorium on gas prices? “Nothing. Zero,” he said.

This poll serves to highlight how desperate the rightwingers are as they are once again reduced to pitting Obama up against an unamed opponent to test his vulnerability because the actual field of GOP contenders is so weak, they lack confidence that any of them can defeat Obama.

yeeeaahhh, but there is also this thing called supply and demand. Never have computers been more in demand, and never have they been cheaper, and not just adjusted for inflation. They are truly cheaper than ever before. What makes them cheaper than ever before? More supply from companies making them, and fantastic competition. Yet somehow, none of the tech companies are filing for ch 11 bankruptcy. Now perhaps if Obama were to increase supply and competition from OPEC.... Oh and FTR, I am not just for more oil supply, how about real competition from alternative fuel sorces, rather than scam loans for scam companies that aren't producing anything other than more national debt.

So, something else that Obama isn't to blame for? Is there any negative event that Obama should take the blame for? Or, is he only responsible for the good stuff?

I believe I answered that qeustion for you some months ago, but you seem to be impervious to facts. Let's try again:

Since the spill and resulting ban on drilling, activity in the Gulf of Mexico has flourished. Government officials lifted the ban, and have approved 266 deep-water drilling permits and 97 shallow-water permits. Most recently, a block of federal water leases, roughly the size of South Carolina or 21 million acres was put up for auction. More than 20 companies bid $337.6 million for 191 available blocks that will eventually lead to more than 400 million of barrels of oil production. Rig counts in the region also continue to rise. According to oil service firm Baker Hughes (NYSE:BHI), more than 39 rigs are currently operational in the Gulf, and are just 13 away from pre-accident levels.

There are already more deep water rigs operating than there were before the BP disaster.
