I think Gingrich is out after Florida. Still no clue how he won SC.
Anyway, below is link and title.

"We believe…that everyone must have health-insurance," Gingrich says. "Or if you are an absolute libertarian, we would allow you to post a bond, but we would not allow people to be free-riders, failing to insure themselves and then show up at the emergency room with no means of payment."

Even more damning is Gingrich's praise for Obama's healthcare reform legislation, which he says is a "model we will be advocating."

Surprise Surprise, Newt caught with his pants down. He's claimed in the past that Hillarycare was the only reason he suggested a mandate, had no idea it was being debated in may 09.

Whats more damaging aka bombshell....

1 Romney care proposed and signed into law by Mitt Romney

2 Obama health-care law modeled on Romney plan signed into law by President Obama or

3 Newt agreeing on certain aspects of earlier drafts of Obamacare over the phone

Why do Newt lovers always counter an attack on their candidate by saying something like, "Well, Romney did it too and did it worse!" The topic is Gingrich, not Romney. And just because someone attacks Gingrich doesn't mean they're for Romney. Jeez.

It is not a recording of Gingrich saying that he endorses Obamacare. It doesn't say Gingrich endorses anything. Nor do I hear Obama or anyone with the White House or anyone else.

This is as cheesy an attempted attack as I've seen in a while. Additionally, since I don't hear any notice and agreement to the recording of a telephone conversation, the bits and pieces only prove the person providing likely committed a felony.

Gingrich wasn't in office, so who is he supposedly speaking for? Where's the other person's voice? Where is any authentication of anything of this?

Why not the entire tape if there is any legitimacy to it at all? This is a trash attack.

Yes. Unfortunately a mega millionaire has the means to use (or create) cheap crap like this. This is something his supporter Carl Rove would do. He used to do junk like this often.
 
I knew the insurance mandate was the creation of the Heritage Foundation as an alternative for the GOP to put up against UHC, but I didn't know Gingrich himself had so openly endorsed the insurance mandate in 2009.

He said we think everyone "must carry" so they don't end up at the emergency room without the ability to pay. What do you think he was referring to?

Assuming its even him, that essentially the entire statement is EXCLUDED and little snippets picked out here and there, it is deliberately doctored to be deception.

Where's the entire tape? Then we can discuss what he endorses and does not.

Stephen Colbert does comedy routines where he cuts snippets of what politicians have said to make it into anything he wants to. That is what this appears to be too. If it was legitimate, they would have posted the entire statement he made.

I don't know, he is pretty clearly endorsing the insurance mandate, which is the part that is most objectionable to most people, and the only part being decided on by the Supreme Court.

Where's the entire tape? Then we can discuss what he endorses and does not.

Personally, I think its rather a moot issue either way. There was no way Gingrich was ever going to beat Romney.
 
It's no secret that Gingrich supported an ObamaCare-style reform. His health care PAC's website endorsed the mandate as recently as a few months ago. I saw it with my own eyes before they took it down.

Josie, Newt has learned already, he has become more conservative day by day.

It is done all across the spectrum of politics. Most notably that I remember was when people would point out what they considered offensive or stupid signs at tea party rallies, others would counter with signs from anti-Bush rallies. Apparently if little Jimmy jumps off the Empire State building, every one should.
 
This is gonna be the craziest election ever, lol. Many Republicans have spent the last two years complaining about ObamaCare and the individual mandate, calling Obama a socialist, saying that it will destroy the country, and then their top two front runners either agree with an individual mandate or enacted very similar legislation in their state. Good lord.

There are some truly surreal things going on this election, and I really do sometimes think it is unique. Then I remember the 2010 and 2008 elections. Elections just bring out the surreal in life.
