Post your favorite big government Newt videos here!

You are forgetting how Mitt Romney raised taxes when he was governor of Massachusetts.

You are also forgetting that he created RomneyCare.

Mitt Romney has a "big government" track record.

Okaaaay....but this is about Newt. Everyone knows Mitt is a big government guy.

Newt may have passed some legislation the you disagreed with, but at least unemployment was a lot lower when he was Speaker of the House.

Keep making excuses for the big government, self-professed FDR-lover.

And everyone knows glen beck is anti Gingrich and pro Romney.

How can you be a supporter of small gov but also run for president? The whole thing seems silly!

This might seem strange, but now, and I mean now, Gingrich isn't Big government.

Congratulations...you've shown that newt is one of 3 big government Republicans running for the nomination.

What exactly is your point? Forgive me if I don't give a crap about your feigned outrage about his "big governmentness" when you are champion Santorum continually. Its nothing but selective outrage.

Great. Let's make him Speaker of the House. Unfortunately, it is unlikely that the Regressives hold the house after 2012.

Um, Santorum isn't my choice.

He is however the one you continually keep suggesting as the best of the bunch. Who is your choice then?

No, I don't. I've been telling the pro-Newt people here (these so-called conservatives) that Santorum should be their vote since he's the most conservative (fiscally and socially) of any of the 4 left.

I have thought long and hard about this. I started out for Cain. I was with him until the crap about the women. Then I thought I would just go for Romney since he could probably beat Obama. But I just can't do it. I have to go with the person who is closest to my beliefs. It's Ron Paul.

Arguable, at best, that Santorum is the most conservative of the four (An equally strong, if not stronger, case can be made for Paul).

That being said, the world is not black and white. You could vote for someone simply for ideological reasons, you could vote for someone simply for electability reasons, but there's also an entire middle ground between that one can balance against. Additionally, if one feels that both Gingrich and Santorum would likely lose against Obama but that the debate of conservative ideas is what needs to be done, its completely reasonable based on the primaries and debates thus far to believe that Gingrich...not Santorum...would do a better job presenting that. You could argue that Gingrich wouldn't argue them with sincerity in his heart, but sincerity isn't technically needed to argue the issue.

Likely going to be the guy who gets my vote in Virginia, and is up there with Newt in regards to my pick for who I want to see get the nomination. However I'm curious why you continually laud Santorum as somehow the most "conservative" of the four yet support Paul.

Santorum is the most fiscally and socially conservative.

I'm not as socially conservative as I used to be. I cannot agree with Santorum on most of what he says in that respect. Plus, he's had some votes that really annoy me as well. Even though I disagree with Ron Paul's foreign policy plan, he's the most sane on how to get this country back on it's feet economically. He won't win the nomination, but he'll get my vote in the primary.

You forgot to add that Ron Paul works with Barney Frank, and George Soros.

I know this may be a shock to you, but liberalism isn't a literal disease that you get infected by simply by being around certain people.

Ron Paul is a conservative, one that actually cares about ideology more than party. That means he's willing to work with just any anyone on any political side of things as long as it has a conservative purpose.

Saying "He works with Barney Frank and George Soros" without talking about the specifics is worthless and useless.

Cue Isaac Hayes love music...

Either increasing government is a bad thing or it's not. Newt wants to increase the space program which is increasing big government. So are you part of it's ok to increase government spending as long as its what you want?

Mitt Romney has a "big government" track record.

All of the remaining candidates have a "big governement" track record with the exception of Paul.

Gingrich has supported the health insurance mandate in the past and a lot of his current campaign pitches have been "big government," i.e. NASA, dredging Charleston, etc.

Santorum voted for the Medicare D, Medicare's largest expansion since its inception. No Child Left Behind, never saw an earmark he didn't like and supports a Constitutional ban on gay marriage.

.

Ron Paul is the King of Earmarks.

Hmmm, didn't know that. Considering he votes "no" on just about everything, just figured otherwise.

Well, there you go, the remaining 4 candidates all have a big government track record.
