[h=1]Angry Newt Gingrich Attacks Mitt Romney in Florida[/h]

With all the idiotic accusations about Obama and 'class warfare', you have to wonder, does Newt hear himself talk?

Newt Gingrich is hopping mad today on the campaign trail in Florida. At a Tea Party rally in Mount Dora in Central Florida, he launched his fiercest verbal assault against Mitt Romney to date.

There's not transcript of the speech but if you watch the video, Newt goes on a tirade about Swiss banks, Cayman Islands, Goldman Sacks... demonizing Romney's wealth and money.

He peppered such comments with lots of talk about Swiss bank accounts (where Romney used to keep some of his money) and the Cayman Islands (where he still does).

Well, to be fair, he is demonizing the source and investment of that wealth, which isn't the same thing. Also, if I were him, I'd be a bit upset about the attacks the republican establishment has laid down on me, too.

All that said, this speech does not impress me. It's divisive, negative, and unproductive. Sure, he's responding to other negatives, but either he or Romney needs to come out with an actual plan or two if they want me to support them. So far, it's a lot of "this is bad, the country deserves better" and missing the statement "and here is my plan to make things better!".

Romney's Swiss and Cayman Islands bank accounts are the greatest liability Romney has. His releasing only 1 year's tax returns - meaning blocking anyone knowing where the money came from or that flows in and out of accounts why and where adds to this.

Romney has offered no explanation why he uses offshore banks thus blocking the IRS from the routine account reports on ALL bank accounts for USA banking. His only explanation is "it isn't illegal."

When a candidate has engaged in suspect and highly unusual activity and then hides any exploration of it, it will come under attack and challenge. Gingrich strikes at Romney on that topic because it is the one Romney is most suspect and vulnerable on.

Anyone here that supports Romney have good reason why Romney hid his banking and money from the IRS in offshore accounts?

Newt morphs into a Dem when he gets riled up.

You are going to have to ask Vito Corleone that question.

I think Newt is having a meltdown.

I think the clinical term is narcissist, whenever he feels cornered, he lashes out verbally--usually over-the-top rhetoric, the narcissist defense mechanisms of devaluation, idealization and denial.

His knee-jerk dismissal of legitimate moderator questions.

A narcissist in a position where he is likely to be criticized publicly and often is not someone you want with your hand on the button.
