Palin to South Carolina: Vote for Newt

I don't see any similarities between Dole and Gingrich...but whatever.

Seeing as how Romney is almost as liberal as Obama, I guess you SHOULD be worried that he will siphon off some Democrats away from Obama, but the Independents who just decide to stay home will probably make up for them. No, I don't think you really need to worry about Romney so much.

It IS Gingrich you should be worried about. He can influence the Independents enough to cause Obama a lot of problems.

Anyway, I'll decline your offer...you see, I'm not a Republican so I don't have any influence or control over the people who will choose their nominee. Much like YOU don't have any such influence either.

Gingrich attract independents? You can't be serious. The ONLY hope that Gingrich would have is to somehow rally the right-wing base of the party and cause independents and moderates to stay home. That isn't likely....which is why Gingrich is another Bob Dole.....he will lose in an electoral landslide.

Bob Dole was Bob Dull! Gingrich is not dull!

Yes, let's fear the man who was ousted from his job and fined for ethics violations; worked for Fannie & Freddie as a "historian"; cheated on two spouses; and was for climate change legislation before he was against it; and was for mandated health insurance before he was against it.

That guy won't be difficult to defeat.

I think neither of you give the Independents enough credit. Perhaps you should look back to Nov. 2010. They weren't dumb then...they didn't stay home then...and they won't stay home now.

What they WILL do is listen to both sides. They will hear Gingrich lay out reason, intelligent arguments against Obama and they will hear Obama continue his lies, smears and ridicule.

Yes, my friends...you are correct to fear Newt.

I give independents plenty of credit. Credit enough to know that Gingrich doesn't stand a chance of attracting many of them. The right-wing is willing to overlook Newt's lack of integrity and moral shortcomings. They are willing to overlook his dishonesty and public censure. Independents won't.

So where is the fear? Ask pretty much any Democrat out there and they will tell you that we would LOVE having Gingrich take out Romney for us......I guess if that's "fear".....I'm all for it.

Go Newt!

The Chart Democrats Don’t Want GOP Voters To See | TPM2012

You really think a man with these rating can become president and win independents:

Unfavorable: 58.6%
Favorable: 26.5%

Dude, that's a net negative of 32%

Obama: Favorability

Obama's net negative is only 7%.

They might hold their nose, but they'd vote for Obama again over Gingrich. No one (except apparently South Carolinians) like Newt Gingrich; especially not the harem he left behind in his ever-changing quest for newer and younger women.

Sure do.

Look, these polls are essentially meaningless at this point. It's still early and, for god's sake, the Republicans haven't even selected their nominee yet. But, if Gingrich is the nominee, these numbers will change and the numbers will change more if Gingrich has a couple of one-on-one debates with Obama.

Do you remember the shock you liberals experienced the day after the Nov. 2010 election? You seem to be setting yourself up for a similar shock.

If you REALLY believe that...then please....by all means.....make Gingrich your nominee. I know that I'm going to do everything that I can to make sure it happens.

I can't make him my nominee because I'm not a Republican...and unless you are a Republican, you can't make him your nominee either.

After careful consideration, sir, I've come to the conclusion that... Gingrich will get my vote

The more Democrats attack Gingrich the better he will do.
The advantage of Gingrich over Romney is that Gingrich does understand conservatism and has been talking it and writing about it for decades. The downside of Gingrich is he's a loose cannon on the deck - both a huge negative but also potential plus.
There are many negatives to Romney. Mainly he's dull as dirt to listen to.
Gingrich's divorce history won't change any votes just like Obama's cocaine history didn't. Not a vote. Might even be a plus. A candidate has to be interesting to people. A little scandal in the past can help now.

No....but I can help campaign, donate and do other things to help him get the nomination

Thank you....and I hope you encourage others to do the same and/or help campaign for him. I'm looking into working some phone banks in Los Angeles for the Western States Primaries. I was going to do so if Palin ran....but I'm inspired by Newt and want to help the GOP take Romney out.

LOL!!!

Yeah, right...

Knock yourself out, dude.

Please do so!

Newt is intelligent, experienced and a very effective speaker but I strongly disagree with his amnesty policy for illegals not to mention his serious baggage the left-wing media would use to rip him to pieces while obama will be adored and idolized.

Its funny how all of the people who talked about the importance of "Executive Experience" are deathly silent with regards to Newt. Guess it wasn't all that important after all......right?
