Democrats have nothing to worry about, the re-election of Barack Obama is a sure thing.

Mitt Romney IS John Kerry.


Both hail from Massachusetts.
Both are progressives
Both are wafflers/ flip floppers

Both are tall, skinny, and lack personality.
Both speak in monotone.
Both are progressives.

Neither has a sense of humor
Neither has their party's base excited
Both are loved by the "establishment"

Both are highly educated
Neither connect with "regular" people
Both are tall, skinny, and lack any personality

Both have really weird hair

Oh yeah, and both are progressives.

Well for one, it was meant to be humorous, but that was lost on you...

And then on a serious note... there are quite a few similarities between Kerry and Romney. Both were selected because they were "safe" and "electable."

The left hated Bush as much as the right currently despises Obama.

Both parties, in desperation to win, shot down their more dynamic candidates in order to promote the "safe" alternative who polls so well with "moderates."

Kerry lost, and Romney will do the same.
 
He doesnt connect with people very well. Its going to be awfully hard to posit the idea that Obama is out of touch with people when your candidate is Mitt.

On other fronts with the Bain Capital thing, they consulted on the auto bailouts and recommended closing some dealerships, check the optics on that mess. Doesnt matter that he wasnt there at the time, its the narrative it helps sell.

Mitt may not appear Vulnerable to the current GOP field, but hes damn sure vulnerable to media and Dem bombardment because it will be incessant.

Romney is like the poster child for conservative economic theory. (which now the other GOP contenders are raging at for some reason)

That people call him "progressive" is just weird.
 
Romney is nothing like Kerry. Romney is a major flip flopper.....makes Kerry look like a rod of stability.

The story that Bain Capital was involved with the Obama administration's auto bailout and dealership closings has proven to be false.

Update (1/13): Go ahead and scratch everything I wrote above. This is what I get for having trusted CNBC:


A previous story incorrectly reported that Mitt Romney’s former firm, Bain & Co., was part of a team of consulting companies that advised President Barack Obama on a decision to shutter car dealerships during the auto bailout.

Bain & Co. said it has no connection to the “Bain Consulting” firm referenced in government documents.

Apologies to Team Mitt for having passed along bad information

One was a Navy Veteran and spent his younger years getting shot at on the Mekong Delta. One was not.

One won a Purple Heart (actually multiple purple hearts). The other did not.

One is a Democrat. The other is not.

One serves in the Senate. The other does/did not.

Many threads on DP are funny. This one is not.

the average pro football player suffers more damage each sunday than Kerry did for his three purple hearts one of which was most likely self inflicted

That may be the case. Personally I don't get understand getting shot up is such a huge achievement. Not saying injured troops shouldn't get their due diligence, but man, I would never want to receive an award for getting my ass tagged.
