Candidate Match - Find Yours

Paul, Huntsman, Gingrich.

Gee - we did NOT see that coming. :rofl - could I be any more on target or what?

Of course - Bachmann and Santorum matched me the least . . . everyone else was awashed in the middle together.

Ron Paul 60% 5 of 11
Bachmann 46.8% 3 of 11
Gingrich 46.8% 3 of 11

Close to what I expected.

Obama Huntsman *shudders* Bachmann

Bachmann <---- Nope
Santorum
Paul <------ No way!

I'd take Gingrich or Romney over Paul or Bachmann.

If any thing, this poll indicate a rather broad appeal of Huntsman. A lot of conservatives will hold their noses and vote for a Romney or Huntsman, but I believe that a lot of independents, having come to the realization that affirmative action as applied to the presidency is not necessarily a good thing, will vote for either. I wonder if Huntsman could be the dark horse that could rise and deliver the now that the fawning and gushing over Obama is over.

I honestly don't understand why Huntsman is perceived to be "un-Conservative." Look at his record as governor. Look at his actual positions. There isn't a thing about this guy that says "not conservative" in my eyes.

He's not a goddamned lunatic. That's their problem. His brand of conservatism-- while just as socially conservative as you'd expect out of Utah-- is focused on the issues that are actually important to our lives, like getting our governmental budgets under control and maintaining our national security. He's a statesman first, an American first, and that offends the sensibilities of the culture war partisans. Because he's actually focused on policies that he could actually pass, and policies that might actually work, instead of making a bunch of ****tarded bull**** noises about single-digit tax rates and overthrowing a forty year old Supreme Court decision the GOP base thinks he's a sellout and a closet liberal.

We're getting the government we ****ing deserve. That's our problem. We're going to get another four years of Carter II because our political system is broken and half the country is too ****ing stupid to realize their policies don't matter and the other half of the country is too stupid to realize their policies don't ****ing work. This country's bleeding out through a hole in the head, and it's going to die because we've only got two doctors and they don't know how to do anything but rub dirt in it or perform CPR. Let it ****ing burn. We don't deserve democracy.

Obama, Huntsman and Perry (WTF Perry?)

I'm not really surprised, though I think the whole Perry selection is more based on what he says, not what he does:

Ron Paul - 59.3% - 4 of 11
Rick Perry - 47% - 3 of 11
Newt Gingrich - 43% - 3 of 11

Followed by - Obama, Romney, Huntsman, and Santorum/Bachmann being even at the bottom (crazy I am not, apparently)

Honestly, I think I could only enthusiastically support Huntsman and Paul. The rest of them are either crazy, weak, dishonest, or some combination thereof.

(And I know, I know..supporting Paul makes me "crazy" because of his money and defense policies...but keep in mind Paul isn't the power-grab type, so without legislative support those policies won't take effect. His likelihood of using the executive order to manipulate his policies into existence is about as high as my likelihood of growing a dick.)

Huntsman Romney Paul

which is pretty accurate

I got Romney, then Santorum then Bachmann...I sort of expected it, or rather hoped it would turn out that way and what do you know...it did.

Huntsman... Obama... Gingrich

Obama, Romney, Bachmann.

However, none of them rated very high.

Obama 8 out of 11
Huntsman 4 out of 11
