If Cain was your guy before his campaign was "suspended", who are you leaning towards now?

Barbbtx is who you gotta go to about this. Speaking of which... where she been lately?

I rather liked Cain, despite some reservations about some of his policy statements. I hadn't actually settled on a candidate yet, and still haven't.

It is looking like Newt vs Romney. Likely the media will bash Newt hard and dig up every ounce of dirt from his long political history, crucifying him as the primaries begin. Romney is the likely winner.

I've reached the point where I don't half-care which, really. I may not even bother to vote in the primary, though I rarely miss one. I'm not overly fond of either really, and the others don't have a snowball's chance in Death Valley.

So it will be either Mittens or G'Newt vs the Obamanation. Kind of a yawn really, though I suppose I'll show up to pull the Not-Obama lever next year in the hopes that the job market will improve.

I used to like Cain a lot, but I didn't like him later on in the race... I think he got really worn down; and although before I was willing to go with the lack of foreign policy experience, but in the later debates it just really got bad... too bad, painful even.

So I kind of fell off the band-wagon a little earlier.

But now, I think Im voting for Ron Paul. Im going to see if it can happen. Its a tough choice though.

I was really in Cain's corner, but now I'm going with Obama. Once you go black....

;)

Are you serious?

seems racist to me.

How can you support two completely different candidates with two completely different philosophies and their only similarity at all... is their race.

Cain is a conservative, Paul is a libertarian. Your profile says you are a libertarian. What about Cain persuaded you to support him early on? His policy views are substantially different than Ron Paul and Gary Johnson's. If you were leaning towards a conservative earlier, why not now? Do you believe Cain's "lack of foreign policy experience" is any more dangerous for a Commander-in-Chief than Paul's positions, like his assertion that Iran should have nuclear weapons or that the U.S. is to blame for 9/11? I'm surprised to hear someone swing from Cain to Paul because they aren't, in my mind, particularly similar. Could you please explain your reasoning?

No one. The uber conservatives don't have the support to win. Ron Paul's foreign policy is creepy. Romney seems slimy and will stab people in the back. Perry is a trainwreck and Gingrinch is the furthest from conservative as any of them.

:sigh:

EDIT: I did it again! I'm calling him Grinch from now on.

I don't think there were that many really for Cain. There wasn't all that much known about him. Most were simply looking for someone other than Romney.

I stopped supporting him earlier in the end of October, when it was obvious he was an idiot.

However, I am leaning towards Obama getting reelected. If this is what the GOP has become, then they do not deserve to run the country.

That is really interesting...Cain, pretty durn conservative, Obama, prety durn liberal...that's a real switch.
