Personal charity donations =/= forced redistribution of wealth.
None of those quotes have anything to do with the views of any political party.
In fact, if you want to accuse someone of going against those stated values, you'd be much more accurate pointing at Obama, whose "Buffet Plan" involved taking away tax exemptions for charity donations.
And this is the point of my post. These scriptures are some of the core principals of the christian faith. Both parties are extremely flawed when following Jesus teachings. So for republicans ridiculing democrats for not being "christian" enough is the pot calling the kettle black. If Jesus walk among us today, do you think that he would approve how republicans demonize the poor?
Look I get that you guys believe in the survival of the fittest and that you should have the right to keep your wealth. You have the right to believe that. But at the time, republicans should not parade around with the bible condemning others for not being christian enough.
That in itself is not Christ like.
