Who found Ginger White and coaxed her into going on TV?

Cain and his staff are rubes in the game of big time politics. They had no idea how dirty things would get. Cain was naive enough to believe his own cell phone records, texts, and private travel arrangements were safe and confidential.

Early on, an expert campaign team would do their own internal investigation of their candidate, find out what the opposition might find out. Pay investigators go after every skeleton in every closet. Then, the closest advisors would sit the candidate down and bring up the delicate issues, advising the candidate on how to deal with them before they become problems.

A lawyer would be hired to contact the various women, including Ginger White, and come to some sort of financial understanding. This should have all happened before American started hearing the name, Herman Cain. At the very least, the campaign investigators should have been holding a dossier on each of these women before they popped up. I don't think the senior advisors knew what hit them.

The Cain camp was total political amateur hour. I feel bad for all the volunteers and people who made contributions. At least the paid staff made a living, temporarily--though, how many of them will be putting this on their resume. The time and money was a complete waste on someone who was never suited for national politics.

But, back to the question, who do you think found this woman and motivated her to come forward?

A) Romney

B) Gingrich

C) One of the other GOP candidates.

D) Political operatives working for the Dems.

E) Political operatives working for the GOP.

Why?

I'm going with the obvious. Gingrich.

He's cutthroat and must a very seasoned campaign staff.

The timing was perfect, too.

First the handful of woman claiming inappropriate sexual advances etc. The first two were confirmed as there were legal settlements. Then, as the allegations started getting a bit wild... Bam, Ginger White walks in, calm, slightly nervous, but sincere nevertheless. 13 YEARS, she says!!

The Cain staff never knew what hit them.

I wonder if they have a case against Cain. He obviously lied to them, and did serious damage to their professional reputations.

Although, if they're like smokey joe, most of them are probably people who couldn't get a job anywhere else.

IF it was done by a political entity revolving around the campaign or with Obama, my money would be on Perry to start, and potentially a mix of people after it began. I say this because Perry was the one Cain was originally chipping away at and needed to distract from his own fluffs. However, as time went on and with the pattern set, anyone could probably start going in that direction

I wouldn't presume to say. But I hope that the truth eventually comes out. Am eager to learn it.

I didn't list Perry because I think his handlers aren't much brighter than Cain's.

But, the timing is right. Perry could have set it in motion, paid the operatives...

But the timing of Ginger White, right at the end of the year, getting Cain out of the way before the first state primary in Jan. It feels too slick for Perry.

Why does anyone have to "find" White? The first two that was leaked, those were probably political, Bialek and White could simply be after their 15mins of fame. They've got a story, maybe they shopped around and sold it to the first buyer, my guess is that Bialek's story was not serious enough for the press so she came out with a lawyer, whereas White's story has more to it.

not sure if i'm buying into this conspiracy theory that she was "found"... it's entirely possible that she was telling the truth about simply coming forward.

I remember hearing Ms. White say that she and her family were getting calls from tabloids and the GOP before she came forward. My guess is the GOP establishment was behind this as they did not want an 'outsider' to win and Cain was gaining on their golden boy. The Democrats had no reason to discourage Cain's nomination as he would have been far easier to beat than Romney. I'm still undecided on how hard Gingrich would be to beat.

Motivated by what?

Keep an eye on her bills and bank statements.

Someone canvassed his cell phone, financials and found travel pattern that matched up. Then approached her about coming forward and made it worth her while...

i pick none!
i think when he turned her down for money the last time she got mad!

How do you know this? I've read nothing about phone-canvassing, etc.
