The 2012 election for President is going to be a disaster.
The Dems have Obama - Not much of a record to run on, out of control spending, many questions about using tax payer money to pay off campaign contributors and friends.
The Repubs have....well, Romney (the Repub version of Obama), Newt (same old recycled has been), Perry (whatever), Paul (makes a lot of sence but doesnt have a chance in hell) Cain (great ideas, proven record on business, but is rocked with scandals...some real some made up)
So in essence, neither side is putting up a candidate worth voting for....only a candidate that is "less evil" than the other guy.
IMO - the Repubs should center their attention on the Congress - strengthening up their control of the House and gaining control of the Senate and leave Obama to accept responsibility for his spending - most of which doesnt take effect until 2013...a timebomb for whoever gets elected in 2012.
No matter who gets elected in 2012, the economy is still going to tank worse than it already did in 2008 & 2009.
We need candidates that are more about doing what is right than what is more politically expedient for their party and makes the best sound bites. We need candidates we can vote in favor of rather than voting for because the other guy sucks worse.
Just my 2 cents worth.
