Ron Paul banned from Dec 7 debate!

Well, considering that the source is "The Daily Paul", it's not surprising that they chose the word "banned".

Yeah. Banned implies that he TRIED to go, but some big dudes at the door pushed him back the other way, and told him to get lost.

Not invited means, simply, it'd be HIGHLY rude of you to show up, and we likely wouldn't let you in.

They have a right to exclude him. Where does it say that they are obligated to include everyone in the debate? I love the feigned outrage from people here. People suddenly become Constitutional scholars when something happens that they don't agree with.

I think one person mentioned the Constitution.

If the American people do not put their feet down, and stop the establishment from putting the people who they say we can choose from, in front of us, they might as well as write our ballot for us.

Is this debate gonna be televised? Because, if it is, I'd like to see them at least come up with some sort of excuse for why SOME candidates are they, and some aren't. Do that, and I wouldn't care as much.

The RJC is the "establishment" now? LoLz!

"The Jews", are The Establishment?

It's one debate. By not including him in the debate they aren't deciding whom we can choose from. You are overreacting.

I can firmly say that I neither love nor hate Ron Paul.

What is it about, then?

Not for me. I'm honestly curious about your reasoning here.

some people take electing a president to lightly any more!

we as citizens have this wonderful right and some take it very serious.
99% of the people will never get a chance to meet the people running for president and we depend on the national debates to actually get to know them and their views. it has become easier i will admit with the internet, but this is the way most of america will determine who the actually agree with the most.

we constantly have the media trying to sway our decisions and now it seams there is no place left to actually get a fair look at all the candidates together!

I am outraged that people think he has some sort of right to be at this debate. It's a private function. No one has a right to be there, and the group holding it has every right to deny any one they want from attending.

Being as your a leftie, you really wouldn't have a problem, but what if they said Perry's views were too extreme? Huntsman? Where does it end? Sure, the Jewish coalition is hosting it, but it's on national television, and millions of people will be watching it. So, by excluding Dr. Paul and saying he's "too extreme", that opinion will likely be cemented in millions of people's minds. You'll agree with it until it is your candidate.

its televised on live national tv?

hmmm...I admit I have a problem if they allow Bachmann but not Paul.

There's a world of difference between placing importance on electing the President and making a big deal out of a candidate not being invited to one debate.

I think people are already quite aware of Ron Paul.

Again, this is one debate. He was involved in the other ones. Or do those not count to you?

You give them a foot then they'll want a mile. We have to nip this in the bud. Let the people decide if Paul's views are "too extreme." Not a bunch of biased people.

you would be winning this argument, if it were not for the anti-Semitism in the OP. please realize that and dont do it again.

They can exclude him for whatever reason they want. They aren't obligated to include him. Get over it.

do you think Paul is more extreme than Bachmann? than Cain?

No. I don't think Ron Paul is extreme at all. But then again, I'm not in charge of the organization that is holding the forum.

Then they would be within their rights. They are funding this, they are doing the work, they are running it, it is theirs. They can invite or not invite any one they choose. If you where running a forum, or debate, or whatever for presidential candidates, you could invite whoever you wanted to. It's not up to me or you to decide who a private group should invite to their function.

thats the point, this is how it starts then the next debate says well we can do it to and so on!

So by that, should I be able to determine who you can and cannot invite into your home?

Is this where you see Ron Paul fans act very un-"liberty"-like? Awesome.

So says the guy who had to take quotes out of context to try and twist words to try and make a point in this thread.
