Cain Brain Freeze Worse Than Perry's

Right...because we absolutely hated Mubarak, right? And we threw out Gaddaffi - someone who had been cooperating with us just a few months earlier - just for fun, is it? It's not as black and white as you're making it out to be.

First of all, when referring to the actions of the US government, it's inaccurate to use the term "we." We the People and the US government are two distinct entities. The former represents us, and the latter works for hedge funds, oil firms, and corporations.

Second, although the US government may have had friendly relations w/Mubarak, Mubarak was never endangered by any opposition the US didn't like. In other words, Mubarak's departure did not endanger the interests of any Neocon/oil CEOs.

Gaddafi, OTOH, was always seen as an unreliable terrorist by the US government.

No but his departure brought uncertainty to Israel-Egypt relations, which is not insignificant. If the Administration had a choice, they would much rather the Arab Spring NOT have happened in Egypt, same with Libya. The problem was that history simply isn't on the side of dictators.

Compared to a community organizer I'll take a business person to improve our economy any day.

You mean the constitutional law professor? That community organizer? I bet he kind of knows a little about Libya...dontcha think?

Hacks are funny people. They really are. When confronted even with this clown Cain, they defend no matter what. Wow!

Not to support can, but your statement sure shows your liberalism ..... like our country has or is doing so well . with "experienced" politicians running it. 15 trillion dollars in debt, fighting in 3 different wars .... 9% unemployment, (much higher in reality) so much corruption in government that it's no longer even funny, economy flat and best, and losing ground in all probability ...... yeah .. I can see where we should be looking at those that are "experienced" in politics .. they have done such a good job so far..
The country's been run by politicians for a long time now and it's only relatively recent that the economy has been this bad. The economy aside, there are other facets to being president other than economic. Most notably are foreign acumen and diplomatic skills and Cain comes up remarkably short in that department. Possibly because he's been the head of businesses for years now which is more akin to a dictatorship than a democracy and doesn't require a whole lot of diplomacy.

No, he sucked, just as much as every other Pres before him in the last 40 years.

Obama did nothing more than maintain the Neocon status-quo. The dissing of Haniyeh was just a tip of the iceberg in terms of how he dealth w/the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Obama has done absolutely nothing different than bush on this issue except merely talk less tough toward Arabs. Big whoopie

No President can force Israel and the Palestinians to pull their heads out of their a$$es. If that's your main criterion for good foreign policy you might as well throw in the towel.

The US government's relationship w/Russia is the same as it's always been, mainly because US/Western oil firms profit nicely from that nation's oil reserves.

Nonsense. Obama completely defused the situation that Bush created with his European missile shield. Things were getting awfully chilly for a while there -- almost cold war chilly.

And there is no "Arab Spring." That term is just a pigment of the mainstream media's imagination. There is merely implicit and explicit support of the US government for the popular overthrow of dictators the US government doesn't like. There will be no "spring" for Uncle Sam's favorite monarchies. . .

More nonsense. The U.S. liked Mubarak just fine and were also quite cozy with the President of Yemen. Relations had even warmed with Gaddafi during Bush's administration (and after). Bush official advised Gaddafi on how to stay in power as late as August | Raw Replay
