The entire thing is moot. We are talking about a bunch of ants fighting to be the one who goes out to defeat the bear.
Who is the bear suppose to be?

Why? What if the president more closely represents the centrists position on issues?
Right, what if?

Re: Newt Gingrich overtakes Herman Cain, McClatchy-Marist poll says Read more: http:

A Centrist would be attacking the President equally, but I won't hold my breath.

According to what standard? Yours?

Criticizing Cain for the last two weeks and not criticizing Obama because he had no major issue in the same time period does not make one a centerist!?!?!? That is an absurd standard.

Obama had a jobs bill didn't he? Dems wouldn't even support.....so no centrist criticism needed, right? He must agree with it. What are you kidding?

That's your evidence. A failed jobs bill?

Re: Newt Gingrich overtakes Herman Cain, McClatchy-Marist poll says Read more: http:

Can you imagine Newt against Obama in a debate? LOL, Gingrich would have to swallow his laughter. It'd be like Jordan versus a 3rd grader in one-one-one.

Newt's got his baggage, but he is far and away the most educated, intelligent, and worldly knowledgable candidate from either party. Noone on the Republican stage wants any part of a head-to-head debate with him either.

It must be nice living in a fantasy world. I am not quite sure Newt is nearly as impressive as you just made him out to be.

Newt has baggage, who cares? We reelected clinton and the bastard was impeached. Everybody has skeletons, everyone knows Newt's. I think he could be the candidate. He would roll all over Obummer in anything that didn't allow a teleprompter.

Re: Newt Gingrich overtakes Herman Cain, McClatchy-Marist poll says Read more: http:

As much as I like Ron Paul, he's almost nobody's second choice, Johnson supporters notwithstanding. He is more of a Barry Goldwater than a Ronald Reagan. His impact has far more to do with framing the national debate than electoral success. Paul has brought his views to the forefront of political debate after eight years of neoconservativism. The GOP's base is still no where near him on most issues, but his ideas are still breaking into and focusing the mainstream.

Nonsense, a poll by ABC showed that he is just a little behind the other major candidates as a second choice. Of course, those figures are just like the figures for who would plan to vote for him in that they are impacted by his level of media coverage. Ron Paul got 89 seconds in the CBS debate Saturday and came dead last in face time despite being consistently ahead of at least three of those candidates. For him to get so much support in spite of this dearth of media coverage says a lot about his potential to break through. It is the media blackout that is the real issue here.

I bet Pawlenty wishes he had stayed in the race.

Seriously, you could put together one hell of a tough exam about world history and the current geopolitical make up of the world, and Newt would ace it, while every other candidate would be lucky to score a 10.

Same goes for Condi Rice.

Is this anything like Edwards/Biden/Hillary/Dodd/Obama circus from last time?

Seems pretty typical to me.

Well, the Democrats did have a "stop Obama" wing of the party, and it looks like the GOP has a "stop Romney wing", which is not going to be successful either.

I never kid when I cannot even understand what is being written about. You seem to have this reoccurring inability to make yourself clearly understood.

The absurdity of your posts is amazing. Dems did not support the Obama jobs bill is your claim. Lets see the numbers on that please. Do present them.

Oh heck, I will save you the hassle of two hours of fruitless reseach

from the conservative Washington times newspaper

http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2011/oct/20/obamas-jobs-bill-fails-second-senate-test/

The 50-50 vote fell 10 short of the 60 votes needed to advance the bill, and saw two Democrats and one independent join with all 47 Republicans in sustaining a bipartisan filibuster.

Got those numbers American? 50 out of 52 identified Democrats voted FOR THE MOVE IN FAVOR OF THE JOBS BILL. But somehow, someway in the world you inhabit, 96% Democratic support translates into Dems not supporting the Obama jobs bill!!!!!

Alice in Wonderland makes more sense than your claim here.

No, it's not even close to being like that.

If you are that certain, put your money where your mouth is.

First off GOP has never been so relucant to choose GOPs hand picked candidate and it is pissing the establishment off, secondly the notRomney groups is very large and he is not gaining anything from the collapse of other candidates. Thirdly, the remainding candidates collapsed, because of lack of inteligence. Newt do not lack inteligence. I just think Romney is too unpopular, and nothing is going to change that.

BTW: Obama was really popular among Democrats in 2008, not comparable at all.

Not every one had 84 ethics violations filed against them. That is not skeletons, that is the whole graveyard.

FYI, the race card was 'cashed in' the day OJ's jury said, "Not Guilty."

Balance is currently zero.

Sorry...sometimes the truth is harsh. Deal with it or help make a change.
