I know. I thought it was an odd choice for us to make. Iran couldn't've done it on their own. And we went ahead and let one of the guys who was helping Iran be in charge of dismantling the previous power structure.

we also gave weapons to Iran. In the words of Henry Kissinger, we wanted both sides to lose.

that is correct. the part you are missing is they believe they can strike with impunity. A) the West would never retaliate and B) Allah would protect them from any counterstrike from the Zionists, as Iran is central to His plans. So no, they won't take action that they believe would result in the nuclear annihilation of (for example) the Holy Cities of Najaf or Qom. They just also don't believe that nuking Israel would happen to have that result.

There is absolutely no indication that Iran is a.) Developing nuclear weapons, or b.) Intends to use them on Israel. This is all completely baseless paranoia.
