CNBC Republican Debate 11/9/11

These things are never ending, I swear. Same crap every single time. Santorum puts you to sleep, Huntsman hypnotizes you with his eyebrows, Michelle Bachmann spends the entire debate talking about herself instead of the issues, Newt acts like the mature older brother in the middle of a frat house, Romney wiggles his head and makes smarmy remarks about Perry, Perry stumbles over (valid) criticisms of Romney, Paul makes a lot of damned sense, but talks in a manner that goes over the heads of 99% of the viewers, so he is later labelled as "crazy and rambling", Cain makes a few good points but stumbles a bit and comes across angry or irritated (I'm estimating that there will be no fewer than 5 references to the accusations against him, btw).

Basically, call me when something new comes out.

LOL @ the audience.

In other news, 250 people viewing this forum??

So, I'm watching this right now and the most interesting thing thus far is that many of their arguments are based on distortions of liberal arguments. Considering that their main criticisms of liberal ideas and arguments are based on strawmen, I'm quite curious to see how the nominee will do in debates against Obama when he or she faced with the actual arguments and not distortions.

Over or under that Ron gets a total 5 questions? I got under...

I have another stream but I don't want it to get slam btw.

Bachmann for whatever reason was talking about Obamacare about something where it wasn't really that on topic.

I am this close [ ] to jumping on the Newt bandwagon.

She should shut up and let Ron Paul finish the damn answer.

Jon Huntsman just became the latest candidate tonight to suggest it’s a good idea to break up big banks, not a common idea for the GOP. He has clearly embraced the message of the Occupy Wall Street movement. “I’m going to be the president of the 99%,” Mr. Huntsman said. “Thanks goodness we have the ability to speak out.”

Why?

.......

First, the loaded questions with Cain's accusations, then posing them to Romney after being dismissed by Cain. Second, Cramer. Really? Enunciate everything. Excuse me, I meant. ENUN CIATE EVERY THING! Third, they are nearly competing with the candidates as much as the candidates are competing against themselves. We don't need to have the media try to defend itself in the middle of the debate.

I really hate how politicians talk in general terms where no specific policy can be deciphered. This is true in Dem debates as well. I know that's what they are supposed to do, but I wish our country was more demanding of them. These debates are really just an ego stroking situation where you say broad things and one liners that will get you the most applause.

That Cramer guy is like a cartoon character. Why is he being so aggressive asking a simple question? LOL!
Yeah, he's always like that. I don't know why he's even there. Even I want to punch him in the face.

Fair enough. It does seem more unprofessional than most other network debates. But then again, I'm not surprised. Media, particularly cable news, has become much more about entertainment than substance.

Okay, everytime 9-9-9 is mentioned take a shot. Good luck living.

Why are they taking swats at Obama instead of making it clear why they are the better GOP nominee?
