Perry Scares Every One....Even Me

Cain is a joke. His main qualification is that he has no experience? Can you imagine going to a job interview and saying, "I'm the best candidate as I have no experience at all"?

That got our current president elected.

Actually our president had four years in the senate. More than you can say for cain. He was also a state senator and community organizer before that.

Right, Obama had 11 years of legislative experience at the state and federal levels. Cain has zero.

Or did our current president get elected despite his lack of experience? It seems to me that his major supporters were Bush, McCain, and Palin. Without those three, it is unlikely that any inexperienced person could have made it to the White house.

that is incorrect. our current President had two years in the Senate, and then went on the Presidential campaign trail. He appears to have mostly been a seat warmer as a State Senator, and community organizing is.... well, let's say it's inferior management experience to turning around a major corporation.

Hermany Cain has less political experience (though not by terribly much) than Barack Obama did when he started running for President, but he has significantly more executive experience.

Actually Obama had an impressive record in the state legislature.

I don't really care about political experience tbh. I care about the policies they are fronting or trying to put out there. Political experience is not a plus or minus for me in any way. To me you live or die on your policies to get my vote.

On another note as compared to my last post in here, corporate experience as a resume for political position is not a plus for me at all. I don't buy into the framing of how government should be run more like a business when we see them failing all around us, laying people off in droves and hiring Chinese in droves. To me, big corporate experience just screams, "I don't give a **** about Americans. I only care about shareholders no matter where you are... especially myself because I'm paid in company stock options."

I could definitely do without that kind of "F-you" leadership running our country.

Actually, Cain has INFINITELY less political experience than Obama, given the fact that Cain has zero political experience.

As far as executive experience goes, I'm surprised no one's mentioned the fact that Cain achieved his big claim to fame -- turning around Pappa John's -- by shuttering over 200 stores and putting thousands of people out of work. I guess he and Romney do have something in common. Jobs jobs jobs.

Except that it takes some political experience to get your policies put into practice.

Not really. You aren't going in alone. You'll have a staff. You can have experience in policy implementation around you but you have to have the policies worth implementing to begin with.

yeah? how they doing?

5 wins 3 losses so far, and they are an 11 point favorite against Cleveland this Sunday.

I'd say the Texans are not doing bad, but I can't give Perry credit for that.
