Cain Leads Perry 27%-26%... in Texas

Where's Perry ahead?

Cain, Perry neck-and-neck in Texas poll

Most GOPers love the sound of the simple/simpleton 9/9/9 plan.
They just haven't done the math yet. Of course, most can't do math.

Cain will fizzle out before long. Perry fizzled because people started to realize what an empty suit he was once he opened his mouth, made an ass of himself in the debates.

Cain is beginning to do that, too - so, it won't be long before his candle goes out.

Romney will remain their only choice - and many Reps/cons don't like his religion - many will not want to vote for him.

So, it looks like Obama can't lose when going against such a slate of losers.

You Obama supporters really seem to want Romney to get nominated.

Not me...I think Romney is the only candidate out of the current field who has a shot at beating Obama next year. Everyone else would get crushed.

It seems that way but i think that romney flip flops so much that once obama gets to debate him he is finished.

I hope Obama is reelected, but realistically it's going to be a tough fight. Romney is the only Republican candidate who doesn't flat-out scare the sh*t out of me.

You really shouldn't confuse Whacked out Liberals with the GOP. Liberals not only can't do math they can't think for themslves.

Any plan is better than another retarded Obama tax and spend failure, even if it doesn't pencil out.

Romney's problems are not his religion. Romneys problem is that he is a liberal. No one believes that Mass Health Care is somehow someone else's mistake.

Perry fizzled because he believes that illegals deserve a better and cheaper education than US citizens. For me, that and the fact that he thinks that we cal solve the countries problems with a Monday morning prayer meeting crossed him off my list.

Keep thinking that Cain can't win. Gonna be fun

So Paul Ryan is a whacked out liberal?

Not that surprising. Obama has been beating Perry in Texas as well... Perry is not as popular as he and his supporters think.. but then again dictators often think they are far more popular than they are...

Perry is not nearly as popular in his home state as many would think, as others have said. In addition, the glean that Perry enjoyed nationally among GOP voters intrigued by this newcomer did not have an effect on Texas voters who already knew him well. As expected, he did not get a newcomer "bounce" there like he did nationally. As Intrade predicts, this is Romney's year.

Coming from a man who's party thinks a guy spouting the 9-9-9 tax plan is a legitimate presidential candidate..... talk about not being able to do the math

At least when the liberals spend, they pay for it out of taxes... unlike the tax-cut and spend policies we keep getting with the regressives.... again, a math problem.

Perry has been Governor of Texas for over 10 years now. This is a direct result of the Gerrymandering that was performed by that convict Tom Delay.

We may just have him forever.

How does gerrymandering affect a state-wide race?

When did obama raise your taxes? You want to talk about a tax a spend failure. Reagan is a prime example.

In 2006, when given a choice of more than a D or R, Perry did win, but he could only garner 39% of the vote.

Replace the colours with republican and democrat congress, and take a look at those numbers instead.

It's not the President who decides the budget.

Everyone has a better than average chance of defeating Obama.

I don't know. You make it sound like it doesn't, so I'll just change my tune:

He's been re-elected because he refuses to debate anyone during the campaigns.

The bottom has fallen out for Perry in Michigan and Cain has risen. This from the MIRS news service which our office subscribes to in Lansing

After being within striking distance of Republican presidential frontrunner Mitt ROMNEY in Michigan, Texas Gov. Rick PERRY has seen his support in the Mitten State all but vanish with the obvious beneficiary being Herman CAIN, according to a robo-survey conducted by Practical Political Consultants. Out of 2,000 calls made to likely Republican voters, the survey contracted by MIRS found Perry's support, which was at 38 percent in late August (See "Perry Staying Competitive With Romney In MI," 9/2/11), dropped to 5 percent last week.

Romney still topped the survey with 37 percent support after being at 43 percent two months ago, when a smaller number of candidates sampled. Cain, the former CEO of Godfather's Pizza, was the obvious beneficiary of Cain's nosedive, coming in with 25 percent support. Amplifying Perry's Demon Drop-like fall from the top-tier in Michigan is that even second-tier candidates Newt GINGRICH (13 percent) and Ron PAUL (10 percent) finished higher than Perry.

Perry is dead meat here.

ACtually obama is beating everyone in the polls. He blows out everyone except romney but he is still beating him.

Who passes the budget? Congress. Let's look at a graph that actually is germane to the subject.

obama-deficit-20101+congress.jpg

When we have a Democrat led congress, we have a deficit. When we have a Republican lead congress (with the exception of the after math of 9/11) we have a surplus. Even then, the deficit that the Republicans ran up was not nearly as bad as the deficit left by the last Democrat lead congress. I don't know how we'll ever repair that damage.
