Are Herman Cain’s 15 minutes finally over?

I heard Mr Cain on the radia the other day, and thought, "Damn! That man makes sense!"

Then today, I saw a picture of him and, why . . . That boy's a damn nigra!

Guess I'll have to vote oBamma. Least his momma was white.

First off, calling him Herb Cain is horrible. I thought liberals were supposed to be tolerant, and respectful towards other people.

However, you may not have noticed, but he has modified his 999 plan, so it is more progressive. A lot of the criticism of the plan, will be moot.

Do you not know where the name Herb came from? And as far as his "999" plan being "modified"...it is another example of him throwing out something, then either retracting it, or saying he "misspoke".

Pretty much every single thing he has said, he backtracked on it. That says all I need to know about this guy. He is a joke who is trying to sell books and speaking engagements. Just like Palin.

I am new here, so I dont know if you are kidding here or not. If so, thats funny. If not, well, wow.

If his postion is that the Federal government should have no position here, I'm good with it.

It seems Herman Cain isn't quite as pro-life as he would have you believe.

Are Herman Cain’s 15 minutes finally over?

By Jonathan Bernstein

Last night, Herman Cain made a big splash when he backed into pro-choice language on abortion last night on CNN — apparently by accident — when he said he is personally fully against abortion but doesn’t think that the government should tell women what to do. This is already shaping up as a very big deal. Cain is leading in some polls, so other Republicans may use this slip up to try to take him down, and he’ll have to address it.

Yes. He's learned that Politics is a profession and, for all of the "hope and change" and "outsider" speak of the last two men to hold the office; at heart, the voting public elects the best politician for the job more often than not. Cain sucks as a politician

There is. His name's Jon Huntsman, and he's got no chance of winning the nomination.

I don't know. They keep changing candidates like they do underwear. I'm thinking if Huntsman can outlast many of the others financially, he will start getting looked at as the most "electable" Republican.

He is probably the best of the field but the teaparty will not go for him...too liberal on certain issues.

So far every single teaparty candidate has been soundly rejected by the moderate gop and independents...their last gasp is herman cain...and if Herman Cain does win the primary over romney...Obama will win 4 more years...ANYONE will eat cain alive 1 on 1 in a debate...Obama will literally destroy him in debates on ALL the cain does not know...and the depth of Cains dont knows are extensive...besides pizza and 999 and 909 hes got nothing.

John Sununu who worked for reagan just endorsed Mitt Romney...

Obama has to run on his record this time, not pretty empty speeches.

He gives good speech. If his policies were as good as his speeches, he'd have the chairman of the RNC fighting to repeal the 22nd.

The man is toast.

The flopping around in this is unbelievable.

I guess I'm a little confused on what his position is here. He claims to be pro-life and that's fine in going with his Libertarian views if it's just a personal view. However, when he makes a statement like "We must protect the sanctity of life," it implies that he feels his views should be enforced. It seems to me like he's pro-life until they started asking him tougher "grey area" type of questions on the abortion issue and he went back to his Libertarian views.

Regardless, this election season is starting to look eerily like when Kerry ran against Bush. In that there isn't really a strong frontrunner candidate on the other side. I think people on the right are wanting anyone who isn't Obama. The Republicans kind of seem to be all over the place (especially with the Tea Party candidates) on their political philosophies this time around, and that doesn't really bode well for them. It's sad to say, but Republicans are going to need someone who speaks and appears as charismatic as Obama did during the last election cycle if they are going to be able to win the presidency. I think we may see a repeat of the Kerry/Bush race in that many Americans aren't going to want to vote for someone simply because they aren't the current President. They are really going to have to pull their **** together if they want to win this. Just my opinion...

Cain is just the Republican flavor of the month. Like all good Republicans, they all get a "turn". First the insane Bachmann, then the bumbling, swaggering cowboy Perry, now pizza guy Cain.

He will fizzle after he gets the publicity so he can raise his speaking fees and finish up a couple of book deals, then it's Romney to save the day. Luckily Romney doesn't spark much interest within his own party. Republicans eat each other.

There are certain issues that True Conservatives (not necessarily constitutional conservatives) will not abide dissent on. Abortion is one. The 2nd Amendment is another.

Bull****, I am a Christian and conservative, but I understand my personal disgust with the practice is not something that should be enforced by government. So because I feel exactly the same way Cain does all of a sudden I am not a "true conservative?" Who are you to decide who is and who is not a "True Conservative?" Nobody, that's who.

I think Cain's 15 minutes are not over yet. I will not be voting for him, but I would if by some miracle he got the nomination.

Funny how you say "Republicans" like they have some kind of monopoly on politicking, LMAO!

Short memories.

At this point before the 2008 elections, the names that mattered were Biden, Clinton, Edwards, Giuliani, Thompson, and Romney. Obama and McCain were afterthoughts to actually win.

That's a libertarian position.

As of right now, Cain is ahead in national polling, ahead in Iowa and ahead in South Carolina according to RCP. Romney does lead in New Hampshire by a large margin however. It looks like Cain is going to stay strong for at least a while longer.

15 minutes is all it takes to bake a pizza.

.... as he is. It is a pity for Republicans (and all of us, frankly), that they chose to look for love in all the wrong places. Huntsman is the most credible and electable Repub in the race.... the rest of this field would be a joke if they weren't so scarily pathetic.

Something is not quite right with Cain. Can't put my finger on it. I hope his 15 minutes are up.

He is pretty much finished. They have not even really hit him on his sub-par business record...and he keeps opening his mouth spewing out stupidity.. he is done just as Perry is. Romney is playing the wise game of keeping his mouth shut and letting the opposition commit political suicide. Now Romeny cant do that against Obama so he is pretty much screwed there. The big question is when the rest of the GOP seriously go after Romney, taking on his business record of exporting jobs overseas and creating unemployment at home, to his election fraud issues.. odd that no one has slammed him yet on those issues... the Dems will that is for sure.
