Palin Is Out

When it came down to it, I suspect Palin simply is not the type of person who can devote the next 12 months of her life to a 24/7/365 all out effort of really hard work. She has lucked into a lavish lifestyle and income working parttime and when she wants to doing what she wants to do. She is not going to give that up.

So now it looks like the decks are cleared for Romney and the only real obstacle in his way is the right wing of his own party.

Certainly, if you can't even finish your term as the governor of Alaska because things got too hairy you don't stand a shot at the top office.

Oh well at least she can critisize the president some more while giving up her own political office to make reality TV shows...

If you follow closely how she conducted herself during the 2008 campaign and how she has taken to the good life like a pig to the trough, it is pretty obvious that Sarah has found a ticket to ride and she is going to use it over and over and over again until the merry-go-round throws he off.

The only question now is at what point will she become a total irrelevancy?

No link yet, it's the headline on Drudge.

Frankly, it's not too surprising, she has to know she couldn't have won the nomination, and it would have taken more time than she has at this point to get a campaign set up. This way she can continue to play Republican King Maker. Now the interesting question becomes - does she endorse in the primary?

Palin's out - I wasn't aware she was ever in.

I'm glad she's not running - however much I'd like a female to be president - if she was in the race it would have guaranteed that a more qualified person in the future would be shuffled on hold purely for gender bias and flashbacks to the Palin days. I'm not so stupid as to put gender above everything else that's more important.

I've been thinking that she could be Rick Perry's running mate if he takes the nomination. They go well together.

the combined IQ of that ticket would still only be in the double digits

That all may sound cute to you on a forum, but it really doesn't mean **** anywhere else. If everyone knew then what they know now about Obama, he'd have never gotten elected. No liberal in his right mind would vote for this clown. As it is now, you are stuck with him. He won't pass your agenda or anything that's good for this country.

And what's known about Obama that we didn't know during the election?

I don't know about anyone else - but I adamantly believe I knew he would make a terrible president and wouldn't accomplish spit while in office.

As I recall, Palin said that she would run if there were no other legit, attractive candidates in the field. There are.
There are? Who? Appears to most that the GOP now has to pick from a rather lackluster sorry lot of clowns. Too bad....in a year prime for the picking, THIS is the best that the GOP has to offer?

There would be no point for Perry to pick her as a running mate. She does not appeal to any one he doesn't already appeal to.

Yeah, you need a name. After all, in 2008 this was proven by America electing a man with about 17 days of United States Senatorial experience and amongst the most liberal voting records in the nation.

Did I say name? Oops. Apparently I meant color. Is that the rule now? Only elect inexperienced fools if they're black?

The over the top hate the radical right has for President Obama is so all consuming that even in a thread about Sarah Palin they must attack Obama in a pure knee jerk reflex action that cannot be helped nor controlled.

Not around here they didn't

i agree with you
missed all of those posts by forum conservatives telling us she would not run
at least before she announced it

and it's not like there were insufficient threads about her in which that prediction could have been posted

There was a one huge, simultaneous sigh of relief among the Leftist ranks when this news came out.

LOL....we were the ones that wanted her to run the most. You've got it completely backwards.....it was the GOP that gave the collective sigh of relief. Us "Leftists" LOVE what Sarah Palin has done for the GOP.

Why? Obama beats Palin according to the polls more than most other contenders.

The Left is scared ****less of Palin's candadicy. It's the reason the smear machine went into overdrive. It became even scarier, because her popularity didn't wane, due to the smear job. Between Palin's popularity and Obama's chances of being re-elected are slim and none, the Left would have looked like total fools, when she won the presidency, if she was able to win the nomination.

The Obama vs. Any Republican poll shows Obama trailing by 5 points and, it's another year til the election.

That's called, "false bravado". :lamo
