Palin Is Out

Millions of liberals are disappointed.

As always, my family comes first and obviously Todd and I put great consideration into family life before making this decision.

Freakin hilarious. Your family comes first? Really Sarah? Really?

Someday she'll make a great President of Mars. Hell, and she can see it from here too!

Have you wondered why the GOP donors looked for Chris Christie to enter the race after Perry plummeted in the polls? They don't like Romney, there's likely to be a shotgun wedding though.

Not sure who your "they" is here, meaning "GOP donors." Is this a monolith? I don't think so.

No link yet, it's the headline on Drudge.

Frankly, it's not too surprising, she has to know she couldn't have won the nomination, and it would have taken more time than she has at this point to get a campaign set up. This way she can continue to play Republican King Maker. Now the interesting question becomes - does she endorse in the primary?

Lawrence O'Donnell predicted this month's ago on his live television show.

We have the same thing here in Washington State. On the west side is a guy whose legal name is Mike The Mover who has a moving company. Every year or so he runs for office be it as representative or senator and even governor. Never plans to win but what he does is get wide advertisement for his business. It has helped him great in the pocketbook. No different than for Palin except this guy hasn't quit his job.

Yeah, that idiot was the only one...

You couldn't tell that to the many conservatives on this forum that considered her a possible contender right up to her announcement.

Most conservatives wrote her off months ago.

Despite all the chatter, I doubt Palin was ever seriously going to consider running. The GOP probably asked her not to.

Most conservatives wrote her off months ago.

...and most liberals wrote her off as legitimate presidential material in October 2008. Then again, liberals usually see the issues clearly well before their counterparts, who are often bogged down in denial. I guess that is why they are called progressives.:)

Nought but Tea Party die hards ever considered her ***** footing around with the guessing game to be anything other than advertising for her punditry career. Palin is clearly not serious about being a public servant, and never was.

Yeah, it's a good thing she wasn't running for President in October 2008 huh?

And there's a big difference between liberals and progressives and anyone with anything more than an ounce of intelligence can tell the difference, but that's for a different conversation.

Good on them! So did I, back when she didn't join the other Republicans who worked for Fox news by ending their official relationship with Fox.

Yeah, well we can't all be like you. Some of us feel compelled to care for our families.

As I recall, Palin said that she would run if there were no other legit, attractive candidates in the field. There are.

While true her field would have been eaten up quickly by other cows, let's be honest. Her current path is very attractive, and is not to be messed with. Cp and I agree, and have agreed upon this for quite a while: she's perhaps more useful gathering the troops and backing candidates-when she puts her mind to it.

I've been thinking that she could be Rick Perry's running mate if he takes the nomination. They go well together.

Nobody cares which candidate she'll support. Her support means as much as getting and endorsement from GWB. But if you are dying to know and can't wait, I'll fill you in Cpwill. She'll back the biggest idiot on the fringe. The one that won't win, like the Tea Partiers she backed... Angle and especially like the one she backed for Alaska gov. She definitely won't back Romny, and btw, Palin isn't a leader by any means. She'll back the fringey that the fringey base backs first, because if she has a falling out with them, she'll have nobody left.

Was she ever in?

Well at least we aren't adding to the circus just yet then.

She appeared to be openly toying with the idea and seriously considering it...

When are they going to reveal themselves?

I hate see her bow out - I was hoping to see a debate between her, Bachmann and Perry.

Palin out...Christie out...Rubio Out as VP...bachman is done...down to 3 candidates...someone will zoom to the top of the pack soon.

This works out best for her -- now she can focus on learning that Paul Revere set out to warn the colonists that the British were coming, not that he rode to warn the British that the colonists were coming.
