Woman shoots man in gas station.

Apparently when she first fired into the ground, it struck him.

I find it interesting that she could get off that many shots from a bolt-action rifle.

According to the story her version is self defense and I didn't see anything on the video to contradict that.

While the police don't even call her a suspect, ABC declared that what she did was "murder." Then, despite the video showing the man slugging her, the only comment by anyone allowed was his brother insisting he'd never hurt her or anyone. ABC apparently didn't have time to edit out him slugging her.

She had a gun. Therefore, to ABC she is a murderer because all gun owners are, and they will make their story to prove it.

That is a grainy video, but I think that was a Marlin Model 60 simi-automatic.

She's lucky she's a black woman. If not, clearly, she had murdered a innocent man who was just going home and failed in his attempt to disarm the murderer who provoked the entire situation - and at no time was she in danger, nor suffered any injury for which it was at best just a fight until she murdered him in cold blood by repeatedly shooting him because he's black.

The first time I watch it I thought she was pulling the bolt back but, I think you're right and that would explain the quick multiple shots.

Luckily she had the wherewithal to take of picture of the knife in his hand. Case closed!

Practice, practice, practice. Prior to levers. Bolt actions were standard issue for many militaries.

I like the ""He only charged and took a swing at her because she got a gun," Darryl said" line

And "He was playful," said Deanna Kelly, the victim's niece. "Everybody that knew him felt he was a joyful man."

Same thing people say about Pit Bulls when they attack/mam or kill. "It was such a good, loving dog...would never hurt a sole"

I know I own one. However after a second look, it appears to be a semi.

Did he have the knife out prior to her pulling the rifle? If so, I would agree. self defense for her.

Oh, I didnt see the vid. I was hoping to hear of someone using a old school Mosin to defend.

Can I have a link to this?
I read the ABC 13 story, and did not see that, but on one of the stations,
victim's brother called it murder, they may have been quoting him.

For what it's worth, we stopped at a very similar station in Houston a couple of years back and there was all sorts of idiots hanging out causing trouble along with a bunch of little beggars who didn't understand the word NO!

I threw some change out the window and hauled ass.

Almost every large city in the US has a bad part of town, unfortunately
Houston has several. I try to avoid those sections,
but sometimes the food is that good.
Some of my coworkers were teasing me, because I took them to a Real Mexican place
in what they called the barreo.
But they make the best Barbacoa I have had anywhere.

Yeah my Dad has lived there for years until a recent move to the 'burbs. My Wife and daughters refuse to visit Houston again.

You are right about those 'authentic' food joints. They are the best!

He's a big guy that kept coming at her. She didn't have to wait to see a knife to produce a firearm. He wouldn't have gotten more than 20 feet close to my wife before she had a laser dot on his chest - exactly as she has been trained and rehearsed.

They won't indict in Houston. Would in NYC.

Did the old guy have the knife in the same hand he was holding the umbrella?
Or was the knife in the hand that he used to hit her?

Listen to the newscaster. She called it "a murder."
Well, can I have a link to that?

Did he have a knife....the video was awful, but it looked like an umbrella.
