Day 9 testimony (Fridayy 7/5) [W:323,483]

Not only that, she must have been practicing.......if O'Mara asks a question that doesn't sound like it helps TM case, just say, I DON'T UNDERSTAND, and say something else. Extremely obvious to me.

Well, that one question "You certainly hope that your child did nothing to cause his death, right?" << That was so loaded.

It was decided before the trial started that they would not bring up Martin's or Zimmerman's past.

And yet testimony about GZ's classroom experience was allowed.

I don't get it either. Shouldn't all taped interviews like that be played for the jury?

You would certainly think so... After hearing it, I think it is very relevant... But Judge Judy says to the defense "DENIED" as usual.

specifically
open season on those topics during the course of the trial

finding that he got the tattoos without parental approval would have demonstrated his defiance

finding out that he was suspended from school would have alerted the jury to the same defiant 'victim'

Weird thing I have noticed.... everyone talks about the defense lawyers by their names - O'Mara & West, but I haven't a clue what the names of the prosecution's lawyers are.

Thats one of the other things that has formed my opinion that this judge has a bias against the defense.

I think a jury of moms might be thinking, "Hmm...why wasn't he living at his house in the middle of the school year?" Who knows, though?

Does anyone know if Zimmerman's parents will testify for anything?

Question: When O"Mara asked her with all the people in the room and they played the tape. She stated she knew it was TM. OK. then he asked what did anyone else say anything? She said, "NO", nobody said anything!! Really, not 1 person agreed with her, or said anything? Don't believe her!!!

Ya' know, I think one has to be very careful about this ****. When I was in high school, I got into a serious fight with another girl. Hell, I shoplifted as a 14-year-old kid. Ditched school. Ran away from home. I wasn't a bad kid. And am the most law-abiding adult you know. ;)

To me, the important thing is that he has no criminal record. (And I'm not even sure that would be admissible if it were true.)

I see only the seal of FL.

Is my link bad? Or is there nothing going on atm?

They will. I don't expect the prosecution to call him, though.

Have you heard if the defense is going to call him, ask Serino on the stand, or at least introduce the following?

I hadn't heard, but if the prosecution really doesn't call the dad, I would expect the defense too. That could backfire, though. So who knows.

his lack of record is true
but only because the police were looking to make the crime stats look better and made those crimes in school 'administrative' matters rather than crime stats

Why didn't they ask Serino about this?

He is subject to recall, so I suppose if they intend to call Tracy Martin to the stand, the defense will recall Serino also.

What's on his tie?

Whoa....Trayvon's mother called again?

Ugh....I have no sound on the live feed!! Btw, HELLO my fellow armchair ambassadors of opinions!

All I see if Trayvon's mom blinking and looking around.
