Have not been able to watch one minute of the trial as usually busy at work or at home with workouts and projects. Am amazed how many can watch this everyday.

How many here watch this at their workplace?

Because he was suspicious - walking slowly in the rain, looking in/at houses in an area that has seen quite a few break ins lately - but not actually in the midst of breaking the law.

Is this a trick question? NEN stand for 'non-EMERGENCY number'. I wouldn't characterize reporting a menacing person in the neighborhood as an emergency, would you? A more pertinent question would be why didn't Z call 911 (as others did?) after the shooting (obviously an emergency then)?

What crime was being committed when TM approached Z and said "what are you following me for?". Because that's when Z states over and over, he reached for his phone to DIAL 911.
