The jewelry found in Trayvons possession. [W:242]

I saw Chad Green say it himself in an interview. As I recall, he said Trayvon told him he was going to 7-11 and asked him if he wanted anything and he asked Trayvon to pick him up some Skittles.

one thing that has bothered me about Chad Green is: If Trayvon had told him he was going to the store and Chad said "get me some skittles". Why the hell didn't Chad call anyone when Trayvon failed to return home? Why did he wait nearly 4 hours, until Tracey and Brandy returned home at ~10:38 p.m. to inform them that Trayvon never returned from the store? And why, upon hearing this, did Tracey Martin only make a couple fo phone calls and then go to bed?

As I have said multiple times here, the distance from Brandy Green's to the 7-11 was 0.8 miles. we know that Trayvon left the 7-11 at 6:24p.m. Assuming a normal walking pace, he should have been "home" by 7:00 p.m. with no problem. The fight and shooting took place ~100m from the Green residence. so WTF was Chad Green doing during that time? Trayvon hadn't returned from the store, the place is crawling with cops and a couple of ambulances and apparently Chad isn't the least bit concerned over Trayvon's absence.

That's a valid question which of course, only Chad Green can answer. I don't know that he was aware of what was going on outside.

Seeing that all hell was breaking loose less than 100m away, I find it hard to believe that he wasn't aware. especially since Trayvon had not yet returned from the store.

At the very least, I'd have been wondering "where the hell is this dumbass with my skittles?"

I'm pretty certain he wasn't aware, otherwise, he would have told his mother and Travon's father about it. They had no clue anything was wrong until the following morning.

As I recall, Chad had video game headphones on, and from where he was would not have known of the commotion going on after 7:15 unless he was looking outside.

He might have figured TM got together with his cousin in Sanford, who TM had stayed with, as i recall, the night before.

If memory serves, they stayed at a hotel, too, with TM's dad. Not at Greene's place.

according to what I've read, he told them Trayvon went out and did not return when they arrived home that night. Tracey Martin tired to call Trayvon and the cousin he thought Trayvon may have been with and then went to bed. It just seems like odd behavior. I know that if I left my son home alone and he wasn't there when I got back..I'd have done more than make a few phone calls and then went to bed.

as I said, with all the commotion going on just down the block..I find it hard to believe that he was unaware that "something" was going on.

that would explain why he didn't hear all the ruckus. but it doesn't explain why Trayvon would have been going to the 7-11 for snacks for them during the basketball game they were allegedly going to watch at 7:30

even though Trayvon had agreed to bring him skittles from the store? That's the part that confuses me. If someone tells me they are going to the store and they will bring me something back, and they never return, I'm going to start wondering WTF happened.

If memory serves, they stayed at a hotel, too, with TM's dad. Not at Greene's place.

That doesn't make any sense... since Tracey Martin returned and spent the night at Brandy Green's and not a hotel. I would be interested in seeing a link regarding this, because I haven't seen any mention of TM staying at a hotel with a cousin.

Well, other than your imagination, there is no evidence he was aware of the commotion. Still, I have not seen any evidence he was aware of any of it that night and it doesn't appear that he even mentioned it to his mother or Trayvon's father.

yeah, no mention that he ever said anything to anyone about the commotion. I still find it odd that Trayvon goes to the store, allegedly to buy Chad some skittles, doesn't return and Chad isn't concerned enough to tell anyone until 4 hours later.

1. Chad did wonder. There is a video tape of him out there where he talks about that. Not about to hunt for it now.

2. I meant the night before - they stayed at a hotel. It's in the Discovery docs.

I read them all. Didn't you? FDLE interviews, as I recall.

obviously he didn't wonder enough to call anyone about it

who did? Trayvon and the cousin?

I read them all. Didn't you? FDLE interviews, as I recall.

nope, I have better things to do with my time than read through hundreds of pages of docs. I simply google and search for specific info if I need it to back up an opinion

Ummm, you have yet to prove he was even aware there was a commotion. Too bad your strawman wasn't any tougher, huh?

What I would, or wouldn't do, is irrelevant to this discussion.

What did you not understand about the following?

Of course it is relevant. Until you grab a little empathy and understand how being followed while you are walking alone in the dark you will never understand the mindset it puts someone in. It puts you in fight or flight mode, and frankly you really do not have much control over it once it kicks in. Police officers and military train like crazy to be able to control that response.

I swear, when it happened to me, it was lucky that the person who came up to me did mean me harm. I probably would have responded the same way if it was someone that did not mean me harm. Following someone walking alone at night is FITH .

WTF dude? stuck on commotion? I already said it was possible he didn't hear it. no strawman that Chad failed to notice that Trayvon didn't come home and failed to tell anyone for 4 hours

WTF is right. And who's stuck on the commotion? Let's replay your post I responded to ...

Wrong!
Plain and simply wrong.
My personal experience does not matter to this discussion.
You thinking that yours does, is absurd.

Let us use common sense.

So it is not logical to you that a person who is being followed while walking alone at night would be in fight or flight mode?

Flight always comes first, and then, you call the police and keep running.

Flight always comes first, and then, you call the police and keep running.

It is really that cut and dry to you. Everybody always flees first. That is actually funny. You make it seem like every circumstance is the same and every individual has the same experience and abilities. :2razz:

A person who hides and then comes out of hiding to attack is not in fight or flight mode.

do you actually ever read the posts you reply to? in that post you quoted, I was agreeing that Chad never mentioned anything about a commotion. So, are you going to keep harping on that or actually address the point about Chad waiting 4 hours to tell anyone Trayvon failed to return from what should have been a short trip to the store?

Whatever you want to say.

I just see people dragging a dead guy's life through the mud . . . again and again . . . because his murder exploded into a 2nd amendment suit of interest.

I'm sick of it - it's twisted and ****ed up - and no one can say anything to sooth how peeved it makes me.
Lets be honest. This wasnt made a national case because of supporters of the second amendment. This was made a national case because a bunch of race baiters decided to make it a national case 2 months after the incident actually occured. Instead of working with the actual facts they presented us with an image of a sweet faced innicent 12 year old boy and purported he was gunned down in an incident with no cause. They for some reason DIDNT give us the image of the current 'victim', that "no limit nigga" with his **** you world face book images, the suspended little thug busted for theft at school, and with a purported history of violence. They didnt give anything even CLOSE to resembling the actual picture of what happened on that night. They set the hook with lies and false imagery and played on peoples emotions and all of a sudden they had a case they could get some camera time over. Even the pres decided to jump in...when it was that cute faced little 12 year old boy. Hell had they known Zimmerman was in fact mexican and not white I highly doubt the case would have ever been mentioned. Sine the initial shooting there have been literally thousands of young black men killed in all manner of ways but predominantly BY black men. Nary a word. Im ALMOST amazed it is still an issue. Almost. Some people cant let a good cause go to waste.

Someone who video tapes and urges on a fight, was most likely in Fight mode. Otherwise he would have quickly went home. GZ called police, why didn't TM?

Right, if this would have been a black on black killing [or white on white] then we would have never heard about it. The photos posted by the leftist media flamed the fires... and why does Obama even comment on this story? Because he's also an angry black person and had to know his statement would make it even more of a racial issue and the media would follow his lead. I would bet my house Holder and Obama met and decided they could influence the direction of the case.

From WIKI/NEWS- Obama, speaking to reporters on March 23 after federal investigators were deployed to Sanford, said, "When I think about this boy, I think about my own kids, and I think every parent in America should be able to understand why it is absolutely imperative that we investigate every aspect of this... If I had a son, he would look like Trayvon."

How appropriate is it for Obama to make a PUBLIC statement like this???

It's down right pitiful and outrageous.

A Washington Post/ABC poll shows a gaping racial divide in views of the Martin case. Eight in 10 blacks say they think Martin’s killing was not justified, compared with 38 percent of whites. Most whites say they do not know enough about the shooting to say whether it was justified.

Jury selection will determine the verdict. It will be interesting to see the racial makeup of the jury.

IMO... there's no way GZ will get convicted of murder... the worst possible outcome would be manslaughter. And that would a horrible miscarriage of justice.
