Yes, for clarification purposes.

clownboy is claiming the same thing was done to Zimmerman. I have not found any indication it was.

Did someone create, sell, profit, and then someone else, non-public officials, purchase and take the Zimmerman targets out to a gun range?

Or is it just a picture on the internet?

Yeah, it doesn't matter. As I mentioned, it wasn't used by public officials. If folks wanted to use them (the Zimmerman ones), there's this print function most of us have. That someone made and sold the hoodie ones for profit wasn't the issue here. That a public official was using them in a public event - that was the issue.

I don't think pro-Trayvon successfully marketed that meme, no. Pro-Trayvon marketed clothing instead. So let's say clownboy was wrong; now what?

And you would be correct. If no one printed them out and intended to shoot at them, it is definitely not the same. Why bring it up?

No, actually the Zimmerman one was worse. The one the guy was selling didn't picture Martin at all, the one being spread around the web wasn't selling anything but directly targetting Zimmerman for assassination.

What's your interest in picking this particular nit?

Apparently, the cop claims the targets were meant to be used in "no-shoot" scenarios:

In the YouTube video, King said he had no intention of using the targets for target practice, instead, he said he viewed the targets as a training tool for “a no-shoot situation.”

No shoot target? The targets were sold out in two days, and the unidentified person selling them removed them from his site.

I don't know what the other two people who he gave the targets to reported, but it is really hard to believe on those two days, he was looking for some no shoot targets and decided to go with the Trayvon Martin shooting targets. Especially with the description of the targets when he bought them.

I personally think the targets are excellent no shoot targets. Dark hooded figure with something in hand? What better to train with? Our cops already love shooting bystanders enough as is.

And that is an INSULT to the family? They ARE being used. Just like the families of Newtown. Are you kidding? A statement of a fact isn't an insult.

And you don't shoot do you? Or you probably backyard shoot only huh? Are you telling me that a "no shoot target" must be a white guy with his hands up and a gun in his belt?

There are no specific no shoot targets and the more inventive you get with them the better. I've seen coffee cups, flashlights, and even badge and gun targets. Seriously. Take a hint from real shooters.
