Bad news for the prosecution and their star witness.

Hang on back up everyone:lol:

Didn't Mr. Guy state they did not even seek medical records, not that there were actually "none"?

@06:25A
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jot...really hope that is you uploading those vids.

Admissible on what grounds?

She could have gone somewhere else other than a hospital (see "somewhere").

What she told Crump was not under oath. No perjury there.

You got nothing man:lol:

i believe what the defense now has is a wonderful opportunity to impeach the testimony of deedee
they need only ask her why she did not attend martin's funeral
and if her explanation is any other than that now known, her credibility to the jury will be lost
and if her explanation is that we now know it to have been, then the defense attorney will be able to pick her response apart
nothing here but a win-win for zimmerman

Grasping!

The State (Mr. Guy) @ 8:40.
"It is my understanding that when witness 8 is deposed, ah, we will learn that there were no medical records to be obtained ..."

What you are doing in your grasping is suggesting that the State is misleading the Defense so they will drop there motion to compel discovery of said medical records.
Which is ridiculous.

Btw, I really hope that is you uploading those vids.

@09:05~Nelson: If there are medical records, they will need to retake her deposition on that alone

The defense needs to take her deposition first. Will they? Who knows:lol:

Btw, I really hope that is you uploading those vids.

OMG stateoftheinternet is awesome. You can't beat that random commentary:lol:

George Zimmerman March 5, 2013 Hearing & Presser - Part 1 of 3 - YouTube

Diwata Man has some videos too, but no commentary:(

I don't know about that. Seems to me she would lie because she knows she should've been there. That it looked bad that she wasn't.

Or that she was too upset to go.

I think its very likely that if she is asked why she didn't go the funeral.. she just might burst into tears.

Or that she was too upset to go.

Quite a reach there, Sharon. If that were the reason? Which it's not? She'd have had no problem at all articulating same.

Dee Dee 's statements are hearsay....was not there and witnessed squat.

At the end, the defense will break her down

I had to go to a funeral for a suicide about 2 weeks after the death of my mother.. and I fainted ..out cold.

I can't say how a young black female... might react to the death of a childhood friend.

This is interesting

She actually confirms parts of George's accounts.

It's also possible that she's simply a compulsive liar.

Actually.. no. Read the transcript.. The words are "to the hospital or somewhere".

And her words following are "Mmmm…Yeah, I had high blood pressure"

So "yeah"... she went "somewhere for high blood pressure".

Probably Ben and Jerry's.

Who knows?

Did you even watch the video?
What does the judge say?
She reiterates that the State says there are no records.

This one is like the third time she reiterated it.
Start @10:29
"I have here an officer of the court, standing here in open court, telling me that there are no medical records and I have no reason to disbelieve that, so um, ..."
Damn. Pay attention.

You can't beat that random commentary
Yes you can and should beat it.

With a stick.

Severely!

:beatdeadhorse

Actually.. no. Read the transcript.. The words are "to the hospital or somewhere".
And again.

Asking if it was the hospital was leading, changing it to "somewhere" made it not leading.
She was answering to the hospital portion.

Secondly, you and everyone else knows damn well he meant the "hospital", as she is the one who was supposedly informing Crump and de la Rionda of such. So yes it would be perjury. Do you honestly think she was answering to someplace other than what was reported?
Of course she wasn't.

I think its very likely that if she is asked why she didn't go the funeral.. she just might burst into tears.

Yeah, because she knows she got caught in a lie.

But besides that, we already knew that she wasn't grief stricken as reported. Don't you remember going over her tweets from that day?
Highly unlikely that she was all that effected by his death.

ok. and then the defense attorney will hand her a kleenex while she composes herself, awaiting an answer to his question. and then he will ask additional questions which should cause her to answer in ways which will be beneficial to zimmerman's case

and thank you for coming into this thread and making mine

Whether she went to the hospital... whether she went to the wake or the funeral is not material to the case.

You know those were her tweets? You should tell OMara... he's trying to get that from Twitter and Facebook.

but the REASON she did not attend WILL be

but the REASON she did not attend WILL be

Why? Some people hate funerals.. Some people get emotional and lose it. I fainted at a funeral. Its immaterial.

why she did not attend will be material. she has stated that she did not attend for health reasons, with the implication that she required hospitalization. if it is found that she is prone to lying about such a trivial matter, then why should the jury choose to believe her about something as substantial as a telephone conversation which preceded a homicide

again, thanks for your assistance in staking out my position

Lying by a witness is not immaterial, it shows their character. I agree that funeral attendance is voluntary but the issue is lying about things, thus hurting the credibility of that witness. Simply saying that she did not feel comfortable attending is one thing, telling a cover lie is another. Actions have consequences. ;)

Whether or not she lied about it is germane. Or didn't you know that?

Really sharon?
You want to poo poo it because he would rather receive them from an official source instead of just taking them off the internet?
Really sharon?

It was all part of the narrative Crump was painting to get Zimmerman charged.
The poor poor 16 year old girl was so grief stricken her mom had to take her to the hospital ...

Except that she was neither 16, grief stricken, or in the hospital.

The claimed fact that she was 16, a minor, was used to afford her protections under the court that an adult witness would not have received.
Yet she was 18 at the time and is now 19.

And folks wondered why the defense wanted to depose Crump.

Just to clear it up, it was not an implication... I listened to the tape with Crump and T's mom, and she does say she was at the hosptial. So, she did lie. It will be used to impeach her credibility during the trial.

But a distant "ear witness" to events, not including the shooting, is critcal to proving that GZ is a violent, racist moron. ;)
