Habit Evidence-Manipulation, Harassment, Violence

No doubt -- I was gobsmacked when Anthony was acquitted.

I'm not so sure the defense can get Martin's bad behavior, whatever it may be, into evidence. Remember, guilt or innocence turns almost entirely on Zimmerman's state of mind. Since Martin was a stranger to Zimmerman, none of that could be relevant. However, I have no doubt they'll try.

A lot depends on the ability of the judge to control the trial.

I didn't follow the Anthony trial t all, but she was not pleading justifiable homicide.

This entire case would be nothing but one of the other 10k racial crimes that happen in the USA if it wasn't for the media and barrack Obama going about asking for zimmerman to go to jail.

Do you see what a strange remark that is?????

When did Obama ask about Zimmerman going to jail?

Everybody? I think most people don't claim to be mind readers.

There is a lot of crime in America and some of it certainly is "racist", but the police tend to try and catch the bad guys, investigate and file charges... They don't do a ho hum and give crime a pass.

I'm pretty sure the message was pretty loud and clear for anybody who wants to accept it. Ofc, you wouldn't.. because you want justice for trayvon martin, but not just justice in general. You want zimmerman to go to jail despite the fact that he may be innocent.

I am not taking zimmermans side here. I am just stating that the enourmous pressure, political and public, brought on by several people including Obama, made this case compromised to real justice.

The story had already gone national before the President was asked to comment.

"Justice for Trayvon"? More assumptions on your part.

I oppose unarmed teens being shot down in the neighborhood by cop wannabes... and I really don't care what color they are.

...

this has nothing to do with race.

It has everything to do with this story being contaminated with bias and power play on all levels of politics and media.

This case will be a mockery of the justice system.

If some guy shot my son walking home in the rain, I would not be satisfied with oops. You might call that "Bias"..

It's not about that dude. I don't say that he shouldn't be put in a court of law and justify his actions. he should do that. I am saying that the media and all the political stuff that has been going on in this case has contaminated it. It no longer about justice. It is no longer about anything except public lynching. This case, with the help of the media and the policians, has managed to so easily divide the country in 2... or 3... but it has managed to divide the USA.

The only correct path everybody should take (with the exception of all those involved in the case on a personal level) is to back off, and let the system do its business. No public pressure. No political pressure. Let the law work as well as it can. Follow the case by all means. But do follow the rest of the 10k cases where predominantly, the murdered are whites and the offenders are black. Follow them too and exhibit the same bloody outrage. And then, when you have had enough and if you think that the system isn't working, protest the system, not the case.

"Public lynching" is parrot talk. The demonstrations were to demand an investigation.

Murders of any sort are investigated .... They are not swept under the rug out of laziness, incompetence or prejudice.

The public always wants justice.. because criminals betray us all... and they should want justice.

Oh spare me.. Twitter and NBP? We still have freedom of speech and those twerps are hardly representative of Americans.. But,YOU yap about "lynch mobs"....

its' not just those. people got fired and replaced... lawyers were intimidated. I'm sure you've seen it all.

Don't be unreasonable. You cannot say that the judgement and the case isn't contaminated by public and political pressure. It is a circus.

Which lawyers were "intimidated"? They quit George because he wouldn't communicate and he'd been running around trying to get on Hannity and calling the prosecutor's office.

This case is NOT unique.. Murder cases have been discussed and debated since Lizzie Borden and Mary Surratt.

Again you are wrong. We do not have freedom of speech to call for someone to be murdered.

Who ever said they were going to murder George?

The NBP issued a bounty for a citizen's arrest.
The New Black Panther Party is offering a $10,000 reward for a citizen's arrest of George Zimmerman in the Trayvon Martin case - Los Angeles Times

These people were talking about killing Zimmerman, not murdering him. Plus, I would not put too much stock on a twitter lynch mob. Online persona's =/= real life persona's. They be acting tough on the interwebs.

Bobby Rush was calling for the ARREST of George Zimmerman, not for murder.

Pat Robertson called for the murder of Hugo Chavez...

In highly visible cases people often gather and protest and will have signs that call for the execution of a person. Now that's not the same as ordering that a person be murdered, but people can and do express their belief or opinion that another person should be executed...under the authority of given laws.

But in this situation...for those who believe legal execution is the same as murder...almost falls under the same vein of arguments around abortion in some ways.

Evolution has a long way to go before humanity evolves to the point that they are, by nature, civil and non-violent.

O, say it ain't so Joe.

Obama spoke about the Zimmerman case? Link?

You don't recall Obama blasting "racist cops" over the black Harvard professor who was arrested for disorderly conduct in his own home?

He had to eat crow -- but what's worse is, he doesn't "get" "innocent until proven guilty". Quite the massive FAIL for a POTUS.

This is silly, sharon. They happened before Martin's body was even cold. HITH could the cops finish an "investigation" in like 24 hours?

Yeah, I remember that.. IMO_ what a screw up.. But then, I was disappointed that Bush never uttered a peep about peace activist Rachel Corrie.
