On the night Trayvon was shot they tested Trayvon's dead body for drugs and toxic substances. The medcial report on Trayvon showed trace amounts of THC.

Was George's body tested for drugs or toxic subtances substances? I did read he had prescriptions filled for Adderall and another psychotropic yet was the blood tested to detect if he had ingested those prescribed meds and the amount he had ingested of these meds?

The presence of drugs certainly does not indicate guilty or innocence for either one ... yet it was something I could not find on a simple search.

I am not in the legal field and work in healthcare ... yet in cases of possible crimes we do run drug panels on all people involved in a possible crime. The presence of such might be irrlevent or might be used in even in defense.

In George's case if he was not taking his amphetamine as prescribed it could be used in his defense as that drug can cause agitation, grandiosity and overreactions.

I am not versed in the other drug George was prescribed ... yet no where on a simple search could I find where George had been tested for the presence of prescribed drugs or illegal drugs and I found that bizarre considering he had just shot an unarmed kid.

Any answers to this questions I posed or thoughts on this from anyone who has followed the case?

There is no information indicating that Zimmerman had been checked for drugs in his system. I think we'd read about it if he had been, since this is one of the problems the Martin family had with police procedure on that night.

Of course not. That would be illegal.

No, no sample of his blood was taken nor any other drug test. It would not be illegal if he consented, but was not asked.
Only TM's blood was tested, not his hair. His hair would have told if he commonly used pot and would test for a few other drugs also.

Yes, the use or non-use of drugs is certainly relevant, but there are due process issues. I believe you usually need probable cause to subject someone to a drug test.

Zimmerman wasn't tested for drugs or alcohol.

He takes Adderall, Librax, Generic Restoril and Remeron.

I don't really see how it is relevant - unless of course you're of the "it's a global conspiracy to kill a black kid!" persuasion.

Zimmerman interacted with innumerable people that day and, as far as I'm aware, none of whom felt it necessary to drug test him.

So taking a mood altering drug like THC, Adderall, Librax, Generic Restoril and Remeron is not relevant? Sorry, but that's ridiculous.

How relevant could it be if the innumerable people he interacted with that day failed to notice any abnormal behavior?

Its relevant for both TM and GZ. Nonsense to argue otherwise.

They could not have taken GZ's blood or hair as a sample without his consent or a court order. They also could have got it from the paramedic as physical fight evidence - then asked a court to authorize testing it. The could have demanded a breathe test since he had been driving and - possibly - a drug test IF they felt he had been driving DUI - but according to them he was not acting under the influence.
They could have done anything with his consent and for how cooperative he was it seems certain he would have.

For all the talk about GZ being on prescription drugs - I just see that as an attack against people who seek medical and psychological counseling. It is sad to think people like Sharon and others want people to believe they dare not ever do so for it then being used for character assasination and to destroy a person's reputation - a reason many who should seek help, don't do so. Shame on you.

It is not relivant.

A person on any legal drug is still entitled to defend himself.........

and in fact so is a high drug dealer........

Who are these people GZ interacted with that Sunday?
